Honestly, I think the reason that Lawrence got under my skin so much is because he the nice guy/good guy trope on steroids. From the outside he was this loser with 'potential' that he didn't even bother to tap into until Issa stepped out on him and they broke up. It almost feels like his upward mobility from their break up and on was like he is trying to prove something to Issa. Idk. He seemed just as insecure as Issa about life and didn't know what he wanted until Issa kept popping back up periodically in his life. Idk.

I understand that the dream sequence was everything they were saying goodbye to (a future with them together) , but I believe they are meant to be and hopefully future seasons will show that.
