We are days away from the launch of the Spitalfields Crypt Trust (SCT) exhibition ‘In Darkness, Light’ showcasing black and white portraits by celebrated music photographer Lawrence Watson. Inspired by the transformative effect that SCT has had on the lives of hundreds of people in recovery from drug and alcohol addictions, and those who have been affected by these issues. Featuring this previously unseen portrait of actress and TV personality Denise Welch, best known as one of the ‘Loose women’ and as character Natalie Barnes in Coronation Street. Many more stunning portraits feature in the exhibition, so come down to theprintspace gallery (74 Kingsland Road) which is open to the public from Friday 17th June onwards.

Spitalfields Crypt Trust (SCT) is launching new exhibition ‘In Darkness, Light’ showcasing black and white portraits by celebrated music photographer Lawrence Watson. It is inspired by the transformative effect that SCT has had on the lives of hundreds of people in recovery from drug and alcohol addictions, including photographs of some famous faces including this newly released portrait of English film and television director Ken Loach, known for his naturalistic, social realist directing style.
