Oh, what a good time to be sick.
Didn't know that stress could affect body temperature and could result to fever and fatigue. Head's pounding. Body's chilling. Ugh.

Confirmation moment 101
So, this past few days I got frustrated about everything. Like when I’m in school, I am thinking about how can I be better? How will I learn the things smoothly like the guy in the class who’s so passionate about law and what we’re doing? It seems that everybody is learning fast, while me? I feel like i’ve been stuck in step 1– adjusting.
Last week, Sunday, I got my very first “scariest” moment in law school. Too hard to describe, but I have never been scared ever in my life that way. Triple sa horror movies I have watched nung 15yrs old ako. Horrible. I kept thinking. What if I should stop law school and continue working and saving, then enter law school again with a strong spirit and having enough in the pocket for my tuition fee?
Of course, I cried. Cried hard for the first time in my first year in law school. I feel like a mess. Pucha. I know I will regret every wrong move I make plus the fact that my lawyer friend told me “you’ll regret it when you stop, makikita mo sila gagraduate na, ikaw empleyado pa din”. So I continue schooling and working simultaneously.
Early this morning, while waiting for a UV express heading in the office, I’m reading a codal of RPC. In front of me is a random girl who noticed me reading. She asked me “barista ka?” Sabi ko “hindi po, 1st year palang” and then we occupied the front seat of the UV. She told me “ah, malayo pa. Pero mag-aral ka na ng remedial law…” tapos tinanong ko sya “lawyer po kayo?” Yes. She’s lawyering for 11 long years. Appearing from one court to another. She even told me that the Dean in our university is her former justice. She’s a former Fiscal in Ombudsman. I was amazed. I can’t help myself but be amazed. She’s a short girl so I somehow see myself to her.
And then she started asking me how does my schedule work in law school, so i started explaining (for a hundred times to the people asking tuwing kelan ang pasok ko) my schedule to her.
Nearing the office, nagpaalam na ko, she said “OK, INGAT KA, MAG-ARAL KA MAIIGI. ITULOY MO YAN, SEE YOU IN COURT.”
I think, God is really challenging and at the same time, convincing me that this is my field. That law is part of my life. And *crossing fingers* I will become a lawyer in 5 years time. I’m glad that God is on my side. That despite of the frustration i felt, God always got my back.
Today I feel blessed by way God confirms everything. I’m more inspired to study and what happened earlier, really make sense. Everything I do now, it is really the will of God that I am more than thankful for. ❤
