#Repost @paisleyanneyoga ・・・ Each of us has old patterns and scripts that keep us locked in unhealthy behavior. The practice of #yoga gives us the space of #selfreflection and with it the ability to see and change these habits that no longer serve us. Being healthy and balanced means we need to input new information as we digest and release the old. In my own process of #transformation I've come up against this paradox: wanting so badly to be seen, but being terrified of the nakedness of that #vulnerability. Childhood circumstances and my personality (or maybe my Virgo moon!) led me to #perfectionism, fear of rejection and needing to protect others from the discomfort they felt when I was real, emotional and vulnerable. So for day 7 of #LaxmiRocksMe I choose to show you the wobbling, imperfect, exposed me. Maybe you've noticed the windmills where I live. It's gusting hard today, but instead of trying to control it I'm doing what I can to input new, healthy patterns. I choose to strip away the shell and be seen. I climbed up on the rotten, wobbly uneven Joshua Tree trunk so you could see me. What old scripts and tapes do you need to replace? If you could embody the change, what pose or movement would you do? How would you feel? Show us that one... Yogi's choice for your path to health. ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you so much @yvwiyoga & @omshanticlothing for your support and for taking a chance with me. #asana #ardhachandrasana (sort of!) #yoginionfire #comfortablewithdiscomfort #progressnotperfect #practicewithpaisley #becoming
