My sincere apologies for the quality view you’re getting of the toilet at work- didn’t have ability to edit these before posting (i.e. software not at work, too impatient to post, riding high on victory of finally freaking remembering to take pics when I was actually wearing these pants). Check out ensemble #1 (more like ensemble #4, three of which I forgot to take pictures of) featuring new harem pants! Note tied banded ankles, nifty and useful pocket and flat panel waist (you can’t see) with nifty multicolour embroidery (you can’t see) with elasticized back of waistband (which you can’t see) for the ultimate in good fit and simulaneous comfort. This wretched rainy Monday means the light is not as good (that and it’s a flourescent in the bathroom) to see the pattern on the pants.
Wearing a lot of different shades of green today, but loving how it came together, especially since it was the right amount of layering for this grey day, and the proportions really worked out, like the way the cardi flares out slightly to match how the pants do. Not sweating that the cardi fits the way it does, though I much prefer one that swathes me from shoulders to upper thigh,that shape would have been too sloppy with this baggier pant. With this cardigan, the lovely leaf green of my long sleeve tee gets to be the edging at wrist, waist and neck. And fun to have dark leaf shapes on both the cardigan edge and the pants pattern.
Unwilling to pass judgement on how these greens are working with my hair and complexion because a) bad lighting b) tired c) skin detoxing from bad food choices last week d) pretty sure hormone surge from PMS is also making itself known on my face e) my buzzcut is transitioning from first week after latest DIY clipper trim to second, so it’s kind of in between glinting lighter blonde with little more than my scalp behind it and being dark and contoured enough to be its own presence.
But hey, that’s a good smile for a Monday, ain’t it? Love my dimple. Wearing set of jade studs and set of peridot studs in my ears to work with the different shades of green, and a bracelet each of Chinese and B.C. jade beads (Chinese tends to be milkier and paler, B.C. is usually darker, in this case the BC beads are actually black flecked, play off the cardigan really well), also playing off the darker and lighter shades of green.
I’ll always be willing to go into more ecstatic detail about the colour green and botanical patterning. Sorry for the verbal-runneth-over (ha, like you haven’t seen that before). I mean that only in the context of speaking on more than the pants. Still, you know you’re a woman who loves wearing trousers when you can make your wardrobe, each outfit, look fabulous because it includes pants (any kind of pants), not in spite of them.
