Side work
I hate it when people try to skimp out on doing their side work. Yes side work sucks but everyone has to do it. It's a necessary evil. Every day, when a person gets cut, they have to get their side work checked out by the person in the booths. Today I was the person to check everyone out. So there was a server who got cut and then came up to me and told me "I did the teas and the cups for the side station. Can you sign me?" I looked at his check out sheet and noticed that for the section he was in, that wasn't even his side work so I told him no. Me: sorry I can't. That's not even your side work. You're in the 20s. Your side work is trash. So take the trash out at the POS and the main one by the side station and then I'll sign you Server: seriously? You can't sign me off even though I did the side station? Me: yes I'm serious. You didn't do YOUR side work. You don't get to just choose at random which one you're gonna do. I'm sorry but I'm not signing you until you do your side work. To which he ran off in a huff, mumbling about "gonna be late to my job now". Not my problem. Do your job correctly next time.
