Maybe the first one is an accident, it’s a new guy, it’s someone Niall doesn’t recognize and assumes is an anonymous hookup like any other right up until he’s helping wrap Ruben’s hands for a match and the guy comes up to say hi and says something flirty and the wrapping gets all fucked up because Ruben can’t help clenching his hands. Niall tries to walk the line between polite and too friendly and pretends like he doesn’t notice Ruben simmering next to him but the guy doesn’t seem to notice and makes the mistake of winking at Niall and making an innuendo. Niall’s trying to pretend everything’s normal and starts trying to fix the hand wrapping but Ruben grabs it and does it himself and Niall tries to kind of shrink into himself, stand quietly and not draw attention, and Ruben’s got this hard set to his jaw and without looking up from the wraps he’s like “how do you know that cunt?” And Niall’s like ahahaha well you know and stalls, but Ruben fixes him with a glare and Niall feels compelled to admit that yes, he mayyyy have had a, you know, ~encounter with the man and Ruben’s eyes go all dangerous and Niall is terrified but also so so turned on.
It’s not a one hit knockout, but it’s close. The guy goes in clearly expecting a friendly match, but Ruben’s out for blood. He punches the guy in the same eye he winked at Niall with and hits him hard in the mouth — they have mouthguards in so presumably the guy’s teeth are ok but it splits his lip open and blood’s dribbling down the guy’s throat — and then Ruben gets him square in the nose and he’s clearly dazed but Ruben keeps hitting him to the point the ref has to step in, and it’s all over in less than two minutes. Ruben crouches on the ground next to the guy and says something like “if I find out you touched my little brother again you’ll be eating through a straw” and the guy stammers out an apology. After the match Ruben doesn’t even shower, just grabs his bag and grabs Niall and throws them both in the car and drives them home. Niall’s trying to do the little things that usually help calm Ruben down and again is extremely terrified but also sooooo hard and he’s asking what Ruben wants to eat but apparently he does it the wrong way or something because Ruben snaps and shoves him against the counter. Ruben’s hand goes around Niall’s neck and god his hand is so *big* and covers so much of Niall and Ruben still hasn’t showered, has just been following Niall around the house since they got home, so he’s still shirtless and sweaty and bloodflecked and Niall’s so scared and so hard he’s convinced he might actually faint. Ruben presses up against him and Niall’s trapped between his body and the counter and he frantically tries to do the math about whether Ruben will kill him if he starts just humping Ruben’s leg like a dog or something, and Ruben leans in reeaallll close and growls into Niall’s ear about how Niall’s not to whore around anymore, how Ruben’s not gonna let anyone else use his little brother like that, how Niall’s *his* brother and *his* responsibility and how Ruben’s going to do the same thing to any other man that touches Niall no matter if Ruben has to do it in the ring or on the street. “Do you understand,” Ruben demands and Niall manages to squeak out a “yes”
and then of course Niall tracks down Ruben’s next opponent and seduces him on purpose and the whole thing starts again except worse because Ruben already warned Niall, now there have to be Consequences and Punishments 🥰
