Character in general: I admit that some aspects of Ling Tong remind me of myself. I can be (quite) lazy, but when things need to get done, I do just that.. Even though he may be seen as just your url, he clearly gets things done. (I mean you can’t be totally lazy with a figure like that–). His laid-back personality balances with how serious he takes battle, as well as loyalty to his cause. He doesn’t take life too seriously, but he seems like the type who’d listen and validate the shade you throw. Also, it never fails to amuse me when he hair-flips before slamming a person to the ground :’) His historical counterpart’s a badass tbh. The only thing that bothers me is that some of the DW8 scenes with Gan Ning are really over-the-top, but it’s not due to Gongji specifically.

How they play them: Wonderfully!! I enjoy seeing how you expand upon his canon portrayal, since the games tend to gloss over the whole situation with Gan Ning. He’s his own person other than what happened, but at the same time, it’s a major event in his life - I just wish they’d focus more on his emotions, you know? But it makes me all the more eager to see you explore this, especially through the threads we’ve had so far - all the glorious feels. ;u;

The Mun: We’ve talked on several occasions yes~ Please don’t worry about not being able to talk ooc that much - whether it’s due to time, energy, or other valid reasons, I understand. They had lost one of their most valued officers, and while there'd been few exceptions to the gung-ho pirate's recklessness, Xun scolded himself for not performing better; perhaps then, the familiar jingle of bells would not elicit sadness.

And yet, he'd done something quite significant, if the mental images of the enemy camp ablaze were any indication. While Liu Bei's need for vengeance led to an entirely avoidable clash, Lu Xun would be a hypocrite to deny his own anger the moment he pointed his blades at him. Had Sun Quan not stopped him, he feared this alternate ending...

Now here he sat alone, watching forlornly over his comatose friend. Gently pulling the blankets to just below Ling Tong's chin, worry brewed in Xun's chest. From a drunken stupor to days lying in the infirmary cot, Gan Ning's passing had incapacitated the man with grief. A part of Lu Xun remained confused about the sudden change, having recalled their frequent arguments (at the expense of Lü Meng's patience). While the two often hadn't see eye-to-eye, he'd admired the pirate's bravado and loyalty to their cause, and the younger would forever view him as a member of their family.

A rustle of blankets roused the strategist out of his thoughts, and he observed with bated breath, feeling indirectly responsible for putting him in this state. In the event of a false alarm or frightening him, the younger inquired in a gentle tone.

"Master Ling Tong, can you hear me...?"

All of the suppressed agitation suddenly seems to disperse into NOTHINGNESS, as he acts as a diversion to the NEGATIVITY. Only taking a few seconds, Kai withdraws as the expression upon her features is TAINTED with a crimson shade. Who knew such a brief period could be so BLISSFUL?
