So I fucking CACKLED today and figured I'd share with you that LB's twitter account was suspended!

and during bi visibility week! honestly like which pantheon were yall praying to cuz i gotta get in on that

its just like,, okay. Okay. IF lb was for real a sensitivity consultant (which, stay with me, i know that’s laughable) then wouldn’t he be happy for this change in CR’s public face? isn’t this exactly what he and his followers were asking for? Is this not what he was fighting for? CR has stated they have consultants (and likely have had for awhile) and that they are committed to making their positions clear and to continue to moderate the areas where they have legal control. 

and yet LB is not happy and in fact continues to center himself in every argument. he uses his trans-ness as a shield against allegations of racism, biphobia, lesbophobia, etc, and a reason for CR to just give in to whatever his (constantly changing) demands are. he refuses to recognize their growth and this huge step towards the very thing he claims to want from them.

could it be that he simply wants to destroy them completely? could it be that he simply wants to gain more traction from being their self-proclaimed enemy?

i think its pretty clear at this point that the answer is yes

I know it's sort of inappropriate, but seeing LB so openly and formally shut down is a little vindicating. Obviously he shouldn't have been harassed, but also I think a lot of people are sick of watching him stir up shit and it's satisfying to see him face the consequences of his actions.

I agree, and here is why : what happened to him AND OTHER PEOPLE (friendly, tired reminder that he was not the only target of the Fjorester nonsense) is reprehensible and should never have happened. However, some of the people who were, for lack of a better term, fellow victims of that shitshow have actually come out against LB. 

The amount of low-key receipts I would see of him before this went down also prove that its not just because he spoke out that people are raging against him. He brought this on himself. He’s always been a fandom asshole. People have always taken issue with how he comports himself here - he just tried to spin himself as only a victim and the Most Woke, so people spoke out to say, “Uh, no? Here is evidence to the contrary?”

Why tf would we even WANT him to be a sensitivity consultant for this show we love when we couldn’t even trust him /before/ this shit went down?

“LB is definitely a victim of targeted hate from members of the CR community and that was Really Horrible” and “LB is a biphobic, lesbophobic, misogynist, racist asshole who bullies other people and should not at all ever in any form be a sensitivity consultant” are two ideas that should absolutely co-exist at the same time.

i’m actually surprised its not come up more so i almost don’t want to now, but just in case i missed it and it IS being discussed... re: the LB stuff, the reason he’s involving himself on Twitter is because his origin story is literally from the Fjorester Discord Shenanigans

so like in this case i kind of get why he’s trying to insert himself into the drama again, because there was legit Trauma that happened there

but none of that excuses the way people who ship FJ are being treated right now, not for LB and certainly not for anyone here or on Twitter. what happened in that discord has been dealt with. most of us have unfollowed, blocked, and otherwise exiled the people involved in that bullying from the fandom already and painting the entire community with their brush is ridiculous

Do you think the LB drama will end cr?

I think CR will end when it wants or needs to. I personally think LB wants CR to end, whether by his hand or someone else’s. I don’t think he necessarily set out with that goal in mind though. 

For me, it doesn’t entirely matter though, because CR will do what it has to do regardless of whoever it was - my issue is that this whoever is a biphobic asshole, and it would be a damn shame for him to be hailed as some kind of activist.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but who is LB? Why is he screaming? Are his vocal cords okay? And what does it all have do with the mission statement?

lb is a dude on twitter who keeps inserting himself into the business of CR even tho he ‘totally isn’t a part of community anymore you guys’. he was always a source of contention in the CR community long before this due to a massive bullying issue in which he was a victim (among others, not just him) and then he took that experience and used it to bully others without consequence

and then he made himself more of a public figure on twitter by accusing actual CR of a crime (not paying him for work he did for them) and there was an investigation and turns out nope he didn’t work for them at all

he lost a lot of clout after that so now he’s hedging all his bets on being what he calls a “cr critic” but like as a personality trait
