Was that a familiar face? Ghouls don’t usually play by this rule, relying on olfactory memory more than on the photographic department. It’s just safer. Take now for example, had she not trusted her nose or for some reason were in an absence of said sense she would’ve definitely mistaken this man for a... not so pleasant individual.

At this point denying that she hasn’t been staring is just impossible, and for long and hard as well, making no motion of stopping whatsoever even when their gazes meet. Curiosity has always been her downfall.

Despite his frayed nerves, stumbling across the odd-mannered guy in a suit was actually a relief! Kicking up his skateboard into one hand, Yata rested his palm upon his hip and breathed out a harsh sigh. While he hadn’t missed a large amount of months in the city, he still felt disoriented returning to a new season and a bunch of faces he didn’t recognize. After looking through his phone, he’d also been disappointed to see Bethany was no longer listed.

Hopefully she’s safe in her own world, at least, he’d thought to himself sullenly at the time. Still, towards Naki, he forced a wry smile. 

“Lemme guess-- ‘ve missed a lot?”
