sofia reyes has always been something of a golden child. a typical virgo -- driven, organized, neurotic -- she’s been on a lifelong mission to prove that, contrary to the whispers and snickers of the other kids her age, she was not a mistake. even if there’s more than a decade between her and her brother. 

as a child, she was always more quiet than assertive, something of a wall flower. though she never was the most popular, sofia always found at least one friend where ever she went. she was good at listening and could give advice well beyond her years, after all. so, people were easily drawn to her quiet strength. 

she’d been perfectly content to continue life in this quiet, unresisting sort of way up until a few months ago. it was if she’d woken up one day and realized that her life lacked spontaneity. it just so happened that that day was supposed to be her wedding day. sofia found herself, a newly licensed psychiatrist and about to be married at the age of 30 (everything she’d wanted since she’d been a small child, making plans for her life) feeling as if the walls were closing in and suddenly quite unsure of whether or not any of those things were things she truly wanted for herself. 

so, she did the only thing she could think of: she ran away. it was a few weeks before she decided on a plan and found herself on a plane to london, and her older brother sergio. now, she’s on a journey of self-discovery.

This successful woman does have a crumbling personal and romantic life, stained by decades lost with someone when they could barely stand each other. Luckily no children were spawned from that relationship, so the generational curse ended with her parents.

kennedy was born in manchester, england as the only child of katherine monroe and daniel sumner. their family moved to the united states when kennedy was twelve close to where their mother’s family was in new york. however, every christmas would be spent back in manchester with their dad’s family.

was a very sporty kid ( was in the girl’s varsity soccer team as a striker ) but also thoroughly enjoyed writing and was even a writer for her high school’s paper during her entire stay. 

moved back to the uk for university. they studied journalism in leeds and on their last year there met the love of their life. after graduating, they both moved to new york and shared a flat there for four years, during which they decided to get married.

however, as their careers grew, the more difficult their relationship had gotten. kennedy turned out to be a bit of a workaholic, came home late at night and left early in the morning, and whenever they were around, they were usually typing away at their laptop trying to make a deadline.

this negligence in their relationship, among other things, had caused the pair to drift apart. 

an opportunity came for kennedy to take a job as a writer for bbc news, and the couple thought they could revitalize their relationship through a change in environment. which kind of worked, for a while, until it didn’t, and they were back in their old ways.

the final straw was a mutual agreement between them to try opening their relationship to other people, but that only further proved that maybe it was time to call it quits.

on the summer of 2021, both kennedy and their wife had agreed to split. kennedy moved in with their cousin rita in hampstead heath while their wife kept their flat. getting a divorce would mean traveling back to new york to process the documents, of which neither are quite ready to do yet.

Long lonely nights spent in an apartment causing bags that stretch for miles under his eyes. Meet Sergio Reyes, your friendly neighborhood closer painter. His nights are long, but only because his creativity sparks at nighttime. When the world sleeps, his brain is going a million miles an hour. Perhaps the lack of rest is the reason his hair is turning white so quickly. 

Sergio is loud and happy to anyone that knows him outside. Though, most of the time he’s trying to make the best out of every situation, it wears him down to try and carry everyone else’s emotions around. He grew up with it and as such, Sergio still practices trying to keep everyone happy. 

He will talk to no end, however, about anything and everything, especially when nervous. So it is usual that people get annoyed with him, not if you have a good sense of humor though. 

He’s been through much more than he’s willing to talk about. His artwork represents his and his family’s struggles; both as an immigrant and as a family of the middle class.
