nairobi loving helsi came out of nowhere. it was like a sister and gay brother vibe to me, it felt forceful for no reason just for that one scene

It felt the same for me! It seems like the writers decided that Nairobi has romantic feelings for Helsi only when they were writing that scene because there was no built up. I guess they needed a way to confront Palermo about his feelings for Berlin and that was an easy way of doing it. I mean it's fine, it happens all the time, people get feelings for people that can never love them back in the same way. They could have given us some clues that she actually cares for him romantically and not platonically so that it doesn't come out of nowhere, like you said. But it might not even matter next season, depending on Nairobi's fate.

la casa de papel would be absolutely perfect if only they had a gay couple. it's very hetero they have at least 3 het couples. i only vaguely remember that they mentioned helsinki is gay.

Yeah it would definitely be more interesting if they had a gay couple. I mean Helsinki is gay but he's more of a background character and he doesn't have the screen time the rest of the characters have. I just watched 3x01 and (I don't think that's a spoiler or at least a huge one but if you don't want to read it stop reading the following until you've watched the episode) all of them were paired up by the professor to escape to different continents. Helsinki and Nairobi were one of the pairs and I call it the gay team. Give Helsinki a boyfriend and give Nairobi a girlfriend!

it wasn't so much just sexist comments but it felt like feminism to me because the female characters retorted so well, and the men acted disgusting and were immediately scalped by the women i really lol'd at the scene when nairobi was like you're such a caveman go back to your cave to that guy and "the patriarchy is fucking unbearable" easily my favourite scene so iconic. this season was just amazing. but not gay enough

For sure the women never took shit and always put the men in their places, especially my love Nairobi! It’s just that I found it a little bit too much with the sexist comments, because there was at least one in like every episode. There are other ways of showing feminism as well that don’t necessarily need someone to be vocally sexist. They could have skipped some of those comments because overall they do great, but that’s a minor thing for me. I did enjoy the aftermath of some of these lines exactly because the responses we got from the female characters were awesome, funny and empowering!

La verdad es que aún no sé si termino de convencerme de Palermo. Berlín solo hay uno. No me parece que quieran reemplazarlo. Me hubiera parecido mejor que la historia siguiera solo con ellos, no que quisieran reemplazar personajes irremplazables. O nuevos personajes, con nuevos roles, no reemplazando roles que no pueden volver a repartirse.
