Worldbuilding June, Kobold Society
Kobolds are much more secretive, and tend to live in swamps and marshes (in the former north american continent, they live primarily in what was once Louisiana). They use mud as a second skin, and then wear armor over it.
Just as there are rumors the dragonborn become dragons, there are rumors that kobold turn into wyverns.
Kobolds don’t like to deal with the outside world, unless necessary. And then only if the dragonborn are their contacts. The dragonborn say a large part of kobold relations are due to smell, and other races overwhelm their senses. Basically, pheromones.
Kobold are primarily pescatarians. They have been witnessed eating alligators after waging war on them (the Alligator War is a thing kobolds talk about in hushed whispers).
