Holden Torana (LC), 1969 The all-new LC Torana was launched in late 1969, its most notable improvement was the addition of a six-cylinder engine (initially 138ci or 161ci "Red" motor, later increasing to 173ci). These six-cylinder models (as illustrated here) had a longer, 100-inch wheelbase and a sleek, aggressively-styled nose. The four-cylinder models retained the frontal styling and shorter wheelbase of the previous model, as well as the 56bhp or 69bhp 1.2 unit, which later grew to include an OHC 1.6 80bhp engine.
