i have to say thank you to the following people whether they’re still around or not because the last four years have been amazing and you’re all a huge part of that:   

@ldcnes:   holly,  we’ve killed paul anka so many times,  and we’ve created the sweetest dynamic between our kids.  writing with you is always a delight and i’m so glad we still talk.  i adore you,  and your luke,  and liam,  and our kids,  and all the incredible memories you’ve been a part of.  all the angst,  all the fluff,  all the feelings.

@grcwingstrcng:   nic.  my wife.  you’re a true angel,  i’m not kidding.  i adored you,  and i’m so appreciative of someone who loves max and lorelai as much as i do.  they’re amazing,  and deserve love,  and the verses we’ve built for them are my favorite.  also the father/daughter things we’ve done with richard and lorelai have been delightful and i just???  love you.  thank you for being my friend,  and my wife,  and just one of the loves of my life.  i flipping tables love you.

@lovescoffee:   katie!!!  you’re wonderful.  i remember when criminal minds brought us together,  then gilmore girls solidified our friendship.  you’re genuinely one of my dearest friends and i’m so glad to know you and to be able to write with you.

@burnselfs:   jackie!!  you’ve also been around for so long,  and i appreciate it so much.  your writing is beautiful,  and your jess is *chef’s kiss*.  the fact that we know the truth abt jess and lorelai being such good friends is wonderful,  i love the verse we have with holly and katie where lorelai’s basically jess’ mom and i love you and i’m so glad to have you in my life.

@classistfascist:   sierra!  we haven’t talked in forever and i don’t think you’re around anymore,  but our writing was always so delightful.  you’re one of very few people i could ever handle writing lorelai and emily things with because it’s a tough dynamic for me,  but everything we created makes me so happy.  i hope you’re doing so well!!

TEEN VERSE HEADCANONS? TEEN VERSE HEADCANONS. listen i’ve shared most of these with you / we’ve developed most of these together, but now they’re making their ~world debut~ okay? okay. 

k our lil babes go camping all the time?? because lil lorelai is way more susceptible to the idea of ~change and she’s like ‘yeah k cool sure let’s try it’ and luke gets her hooked and they take the kids camping a lot and they go on cute boating trips and they all wear flannel and they’re the cutest outdoor family in the universe okay bye

they also participate in the basket bidding thing every year, and luke always cooks ( but they tell taylor that lorelai does bc ~rules~ ) and they have the cuTEST family picnic every year and i cry

aw gee, do i have any tumblr friends? not really. i’ve got the tumblr loves of my life, because we’ve all transcended mere friendship.

we’ve got holly ( that’s you!! ), who’s my actual soulmate, light of my life. nothing is safe in our hands. we’ll cause all the feels. we’ll leave everything in ruins. and sometimes there’ll be cute stuff tossed in, but who knows. holly is my birthday bud and we pretty much love each other to the ends of the earth? we share a brain now and everything. it’s really chill. we’re just gross.

we’ve got nic ( @esorbitanza ), my wife. we cry about max medina and cassian andor a lot. nic is the instigator of the ot3 that’s gonna rule the world, and it’s rad. also gives me a thousand feels?? which is clearly something you need in a relationship as serious as ours. we’re also really gross. super gross. almost as gross as max and lorelai.

we’ve got charlotte ( @inscreamingcolcr ) my other wife. we’ve been pals for four years now, and are also fans of destroying lives. charlotte yells at me a lot, and i act like i’m innocent bc i am i’ve never done anything wrong ever. what an actual beautiful angel tbh.

we’ve got sierra ( @classistfascist ) my other other wife. the fact that we come up with new headcanons for lorelai and emily’s relationship on a daily basis is painful and beautiful at the same time. also such an a+ person?? so nice. so cool. amazing.

RORY WAS FINALLY ASLEEP, it had taken four stories, but there was no denying she was finally out. hopefully for the night. with a sigh lorelai reclaims her spot on the sofa, legs folding under her, shoulders sagging with the weight of the length and stress of the day. she glances sidelong at luke with a soft smile, “sometimes getting her to go to bed is like pulling teeth,” she notes, gaze drifting to the tv, though she can’t quite bring herself to pay attention. something heavy has weighed on her mind for several days now, and it’s not a subject she’s eager or prepared to bring up. it’s more terrifying than anything, regardless of the rational parts of her mind that continually remind her that luke probably won’t react badly ------ but the chance that he might is enough to hold her back. sitting silently, she picks distractedly at her nails, trying to build up the nerve to say what she needs to. the minutes tick by, and she finally decides it’s best to get it over with, so with another belabored sigh, lorelai’s attention shifts back to luke, “hey, i, uh ------ we need to talk about something. it’s kind of IMPORTANT,”
