i don’t know when i decided that being a nocturnal bat was a good idea, but i probably shoulda reconsidered that.
anyway.
from what i’ve seen from on here, people are back in town or coming back to town or some shit? lmk if you need something to do, ‘cause i’ve always got the hookup. don’t be lame.
For the most part, Peter had been fairly quiet on this trip. Being around all of his old friends triggered an anxiety deep inside of him and he had found it difficult to be vocal over the past few days. He’d had a good time, he supposed. He’d enjoyed being in Lua’s car and had had fun since they’d left Shallow Creek. Still, he knew he wasn’t participating in the road trip the way that Olive must have wanted. She had always, since the moment they’d met, encouraged Peter to break out of his shell. She would want him to be social and outgoing, as much as he could be, anyways.
He sighed and looked up at the night sky, his eyes darting between the different stars. He was failing miserably. After all, here he was, sitting outside next to Lua’s parked car alone, rather than spending time with the people he used to cherish the most.
Peter was pulled from his thoughts by the sound of movement to his left. He tilted his head and peered around the side of the car, “Hello?”
Surprise, surprise!
The Graff is back!
I just got off the Greyhound and, jeez, I forgot how clean air could be. I totally forgot what plant life looks like without smog in the way. Sort of makes me want to start a garden - ANYWAYS, now that I’m back, I would love to catch up with some people. Let me know when and where and I’m there!
familiar faces...
...it’s looking like that kind of week, huh? Cool. Cool, cool, cool. I guess the impending thunderstorms were more of a warning than a weather related event.
In other news, I just made a slider platter, and a curly vs waffle vs wedge vs regular fries platter so you should come try them so we can tally up the board and once and for all determine the best of all the fries to commemorate all of these visits. I’ll be waiting!
Ten hours is. A long time. To spend. In a car. When you have. Dumb long legs.
I mean, I know we got in a couple hours ago, but I’m pretty sure I’m going to be walking around the hotel for at least another hour just to, like, stretch the ol’ girl out. Yikes.
If anybody wants to keep me company (or there’s, like, a dire emergency in need of some Teddy assistance!), I’m probably the one looking for every ice machine as a means of entertainment - which is exactly what I used to do on every Graham family road trip from Yellowstone to Washington, DC.
Nice to see I’m keeping things consistent.
so much to do. so much to see.
smash mouth was right all along.
Oh, wow, long time no see, isn’t it? [ He smiles ] How you been?
