From a design point of view the flat TV was evolving toward nothingness, just a very thin and boring sheet of plastic and electronics . Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec used their genius approach to re-introduce this device to our homes as a tangible and sensous experience. Inspired by the shape of a serifed capital I letter, the TV set produced by Samsung is supposed to rest on a flat surface, would be that of a floor, a shelf or even the kitchen counter. Hopefully the UI that is presented in the video will somehow end up inside the commercial version too. The model will be introduced during London Design Week and hopefully will be commercially available soon.
