Today We Start a Worm Factory 360
We have been working with a homemade worm condo for quite sometime. We are certainly not unhappy with the solution as the worms breed and it's working as we'd hope. Today we decided to start working with a commercial product from Nature's Footprint. We have to admit, the folks at Nature's Footprint have a pretty polished product that can sit in your kitchen. There's great documentation to get started and the setup is easy. Let's see how it compares to our home-brew to the commercial product. So far...I do like the commercial design.
Taking an hour out of the day, you can get this up and running easily. Then, perhaps a few minutes a week you will be feeding your waste into another ecosystem that will benefit the big picture of your urban garden.
