I am the boss of a small manufacturing business. Myth: Many people think it means I make lots of money and sit in a luxurious office drinking tea all day. Reality: I draw a normal salary and sometimes work with operators at the assembly line until late at night to complete urgent orders. My hands are all grease today. Including the commute, I am “at work” 11 hours most days, 13+ hours today. Even at home, I am thinking about the factory, except when I am doing my “other” job of preaching/mission/ministry/parenting. Why? Responsibility. Leading from the trenches.
