of all the losers, bill always saw stan as the one with the most potential to be happy. he was a constant source of reassurance and light, so to hear what he had done to himself -- bill has to take a seat for a moment, so taken aback by the sudden flood of emotion in a mind that had previously held seldom a thought of stanley uris. of all of them to go - why stan ? head bowed, he wipes a few stray tears ; determination takes root in his heart. It will not steal any more lives, not after stan's.

death is something bill denbrough has never been able to properly cope with. he's always gotten caught in the denial stage of grief, and this time is no different. his wife -- kim, beautiful, daring, brave kim -- can't be dead. she simply can't be. It couldn't have killed her when she survived before ; it makes no sense to him. his eyes, stuck on her blood, begin to cloud with tears. how has this managed to happen to him twice now? there, on his knees at her side, bill denbrough begins to cry.
