February 15, 2026 - Mountain Leaf Warbler (Phylloscopus trivirgatus) These warblers are found in mountain rainforests in parts of Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. They eat mostly insects, particularly ants and caterpillars, foraging alone, in pairs, and in mixed-species flocks. Breeding from February to August, they build ball-shaped nests on the ground or in cavities in banks where females lay clutches of two or three eggs.

April 15, 2026 - Canary Islands Chiffchaff (Phylloscopus canariensis) Found only in the Canary Islands, these leaf warblers live in woodlands, scrub, and cultivated areas. They eat small insects and nectar from a variety of plants. Breeding from January to June, they build their nests from grasses, flower petals, dry leaves, plant fibers, animal hair, and feathers in trees, palms, tall bushes, creepers, sometimes in cavities, or rarely on the ground. Females lay clutches of four eggs.

December 9, 2025 - Yellow-breasted Warbler (Phylloscopus montis) These warblers are found in mountain and lowland forests in Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Timor-Leste. Often foraging with mixed-species flocks, they eat insects and other invertebrates, picking prey from surfaces, frequently while hovering, and capturing it in short flights. They build domed nests in cavities on banks and lay clutches of two eggs.
