Jaune x Pyrrha x Emerald: Emerald gets annoyed with how nice everyone is expect when Jaune and Pyrrha do it. She's gets all blushly and tsudere about it.
Previously...
One week. It had been one week since Emerald Sustrai managed to slip her way into Jaune Arc and Pyrrha Nikos's relationship as their third. Since then, the green-haired second to Cinder Fall's plan has been arriving home late, either training or on some other form of date with the couple. Neopolitan and Mercury Black would tease her a bit, though it was short lived when Cinder shot a burning glare in their direction, sometimes literally burning. Emerald would explain accomplishing her tasking before regaling the undercover team of her experience with Team JNPR's leader and his partner, and it would always be with such a wide smile on her face.
Emerald was truly happy.
And that pissed Cinder off to no end. Worse yet is how useless the information she gathered turned out to be. Jaune Arc has seven sisters, but none of them are close enough to use as leverage. Pyrrha Nikos is a fan of olives on her pizza, but Cinder couldn't think of, nor did she care to find, a way to weaponize that. And worse yet, Emerald was getting sloppy in her reports as well, having left multiple typos and glaring opening that require more research than their time at Beacon would allow.
Something had to be done. This relationship was a threat to Cinder's plans, and threats never survive Cinder Fall.
----------
Growing up, Emerald had always been told she was beautiful. Whether the words came from your average guy, or girl, cat-calling her or a store clerk trying to convince her to pay full price for something she was already taking, they always rang hollow. She wasn't blind; she could see her beauty for herself every morning, afternoon, and evening in the mirror. Before Beacon, there was only one person whose words meant anything to her, touched on a deeper level than even Cinder could reach. Her mother, Esméralda Sustrai, long since deceased.
It had been almost fifteen years since her death, leaving Emerald to fend for herself against a world full of monsters and Grimm. She'd found safety with some kind faces, only to learn swiftly that there a kind smile seldom matched a kind soul. Once she was old enough to escape a life of household chores, and later learning of even worse forms of servitude, she'd begun living on the streets, finding the means to get whatever she needed and, more importantly, wanted. Much shorter than fifteen years ago, she met Cinder, who quickly grew into a secondary mother figure in her life. What drew her in was a shared trait both held; brutal honesty.
Esméralda, as Emerald could recall, was a brutally honest woman. Any other mother would have lied to her child about her unsavory profession. However, when asked about what she did to provide food and clothes for her daughter, she used the word whore the same as one would use the word huntress. She held a stern glare in her eyes of ruby, even when singing softly into her child's ears. With a mere gaze, she could reduce men to whimpering boys or build a mighty warrior of a little girl. And anyone who dared to separate such a fierce-looking woman from her more-learned daughter quickly learned a mother's wrath. And that might have been her favorite thing about her mother; when challenged with a hardship, Emerald came first. Emerald always came first.
Emerald was the first to eat. Emerald was the first to sleep. Emerald was the first to wake. Emerald was the first to receive an answer. And when Emerald's world crumbled, it was into her mother that she fled. Resting on her chest, she would be soothed by her mother's soft words as her necklace softly danced before her eyes. The glint of gold and the sparkle of the crimson jewel embedded within did more for her than her mother could ever know, despite her saying it was merely cheap jewelry to entertain her clients. But Emerald didn't care; jewelry, whether cheap or expensive, always made one look more beautiful.
That's why never wore anything with an obvious shine to it. Despite her occupation as a thief and criminal, she preferred to be as brutally honest when dealing with people, just like her mother. As the saying goes, 'what you see is what you get'. However, such ideals didn't last long once Cinder stepped into her life. Sweet words, she said, hide fast hands much better than any distraction ever could. So, she did as her new mother had taught; she lied to get what she needed. More importantly, she lied to get what she wanted. And lying felt so very good.
"Did you do something with your hair? I like it."
It was a basic compliment. Her hair had been the same since she'd arrived in Vale. In fact, her hair had been the same since before she met Cinder. It was praise simply for the sake of praise. Emerald had heard similar platitudes before from people who recognized her, people she hadn't quite gotten around to robbing just yet. She treated them the same way she treated any other compliment tossed her way; fake a smile, drop it once you're out of their sight.
"Oh, um, no, but thanks." She replied, bringing a hand gingerly trace along her haircut. Tension began to build in her back, tingles dancing along her spine. For goodness sakes, her heart even skipped a beat! "You, uh... You look good, too."
"Thanks~!" Jaune replied, smiling for a moment before his hand mirrored hers. By contrast, his fingers twisted a lock between them, his smile fading for a sigh. "Could use a haircut, though."
"I think you both look lovely." Pyrrha added, smiling with hands clutching her books as she nodded her head to the side. "Now, before we start getting too into relationship mode, we need to remember that some of us are falling a little behind in class. So, I suggest we schedule a study session with just the three of us~!"
"Um, about that..." Jaune scratched his cheek. "I kinda already agreed to do a study session with Ren, Nora, and Team RWBY. I was gonna tell you, too, Pyrrha, but it happened during your match against Yang. Pretty sure she'd getting told right now, too."
"Oh." Pyrrha's smile dropped. "Well, that's fine." Emerald could see her sugar-coating how upset it was really making her. "We can always reschedule and-"
"I could join you." Emerald inserted herself. "That way we're still studying together."
"Are you sure, Emerald?" Jaune asked. "I mean, I wouldn't want to take up your time."
"My time is already taken up with you two. Besides, I think it'd work out better if we split off into groups of three during the study session. It's nine people, after all."
"That... works out perfectly~!" Pyrrha chippered up. "We could still study together and have some privacy~!"
"Privacy?" Jaune blinked. "What do we need privacy for-" Emerald's finger pressed against his lips. She gave a glance to Pyrrha before returning her gaze to Jaune... with a smirk. Pyrrha joined in, making the boy flush at the sudden attention he was receiving. Stepping away, he gave a gulp. "Oh, uh, y-yeah, that... that would most definitely work. Yup."
"You are adorable~." She teased. "I could just eat you up~."
"Without utensils? How... unbecoming." Tension built up in Emerald's spine again, though this time, the tingles had frozen into icicles. Stiffening herself, she turned towards Cinder, who cast a glare down at her. A glare that warned her of her place. "I'm not interrupting, am I?"
"Oh, no, we were just-"
"I was speaking to Emerald." Jaune's jaw clenched. "I hope you're not planning to skip out on our meeting tonight, Emerald. We have a lot to plan for tournament. Especially considering the..." She looked Pyrrha up and down, making her uncomfortable. "...competition."
"It..." Emerald swallowed a lump in her throat. "It's just one study session."
"Alone? In enemy territory?"
"We're not enemies." Pyrrha slid a step forward, putting herself at Emerald's side and closer to Cinder.
"For now." Cinder smirked. "Today's enemy is tomorrow's ally, and vice-versa."
"Well, why don't we all be friends right now?" Jaune offered, stepping up, much more timidly than Pyrrha had, also putting himself at Emerald's side. Cinder barely gave him a glance. "Your team is more than welcome to study with us!"
"I'm afraid we simply know more than you do. Joining you would only drag us down."
"Or put us on the same level." Jaune offered, now gaining Cinder's full attention. No one was certain if that was a good idea, least of all Jaune. "I mean, the whole point of the festival is for us to be friends, right? So, why don't we make friends tonight?"
"Make... friends." It wasn't a question. No, it was more of an experiment with the word. Friend. Cinder Fall didn't have friends. She had allies. Associates. Pawns. Emerald knew this, though she'd hoped to break the barrier. Since beginning her time with Jaune and Pyrrha, however, such aspirations started to dwindle. Jaune's attempt came from good intentions, though annoyingly naive. Cinder would certainly refuse. "Very well. Tonight, you and I shall 'make friends', as you say."
"Great! Does seven tonight work for your team?"
"It most certainly will." She turned away, not even allowing the idea of an argument. "My team and I will meet you at seven."
"See ya then~!" Jaune waved. "Well, she seemed..."
"Rude." Pyrrha grumbled.
"She... just likes to keep a tight schedule." Emerald tried to defend. It wasn't a lie, though she immediately thought the word 'leash' might have been more fitting.
"I was going to say... forward." Jaune was a terrible liar, though it was likely because he was trying to be nice. For some reason, Emerald didn't hate that about him. "So, uh... See you at seven?" A peck on his cheek made him flush.
"It's a date~." Emerald said before kissing Pyrrha's cheek and turning away.
Say It
Jaune: Ruby, say it.

Jaune: subs be like: "meanie" "bully" "pervert" but press their legs together so you don't see how needy that makes them.
X-men au ask: Since there's a bunch of teams in marvel will Jaune be part of any more teams or will he make new ones?
Like with the wildcards, will there be new members to replace the old ones while Jaune remains the leader?
No, Jaune won't be part of any other teams; his main three teams that he's a member of are The X-Men, Avengers, & Wildcards. Jaune will team up with other Marvel Teams in the universe, but never long enough to become official.
As for Wildcard members changing, yeah, that's going to happen for sure.
The original team consists of Jaune, Peter, Doreen, Sai, and Wade.
Jaune dies during the Civil War, so Peter leads the Wildcards for a bit, and at the time, Kate Bishop joins the Wildcards.
After Jaune returns, Wade goes solo for a time, and Doreen joins up with the Great Lakes Avengers for a bit, leaving Jaune, Peter, Sai, and Kate. With Hulkling and Kamala Khan taking their spots
Later, Peter and Sai take time to be Parents, with Eli Bradley and Cassie Lang taking their spot. Thus making the Wildcards: Jaune, Kate, Hulkling, Kamala, Eli, and Cassie.
After Jaune's second kid was born, Jaune left the Wildcards in the hands of the newer generation, making Kate the leader.
For a while, the Wildcards are just this AU's version of the Young Avengers.
But after a while, the group disbands for different reasons, leaving the Wildcards disbanded for a long time until both teams reunite and reform the Wildcards!
