It's spring ephemeral season in the Upper Midwest, as the deciduous trees start to leaf out. Plum and apple are blooming, cherries are starting.

Here's spring beauty (Claytonia virginiana) in three colorways: the usual white-with-pink, a pink-on-pink variety I saw quite a few of, and an all-white plant I only saw once.
