Oh ? What an unexpected surprise ! Greeted by none other than the lips of Herb cookie. Soft and gentle ( much like his personality ), press against his cheek. Heat instantly spread across his face, tinting them in rose. When Herb told him he’d repay the favor for saving his small plant, never had he expected it would be in such a bold gesture.

His heart leaped into his throat and without warning, an arm flew up, book pressed against his face ; the scent of aging paper fills his lungs as his words were muffled by the science novel.

     ❝ I - I told you Herb you ----- You didn’t have to. It’s my job. Ah ----- ! ❞

A pause. Long. Dragged. His voice comes out almost in a whisper.

     ❝ You’re - You’re welcome. ❞

You're just so colorful and bright, it's amazing to look at.

     a  smile  (  bright  and  cheerful  )   spread  over  his  features ,   emanating  an  air  of  warmth .  kind  words  and  praises  were  not  something  he  found  to  be  uncommon ,  though  he  was  certain  they’d  never  lose  their  luster .  and  coming  from  this  particular  cookie ,  it  was  hard  to  ignore  the  soft  flutter  and  feeling  of  giddiness  that  resided  in  his  chest .  in  a  smooth  motion ,  a  glass  was  placed  upon  the  counter  and  bow  tie  was  quick  to  pour .  “  ———  this  one  is  on  me .  ”
