Okay so first other post I'm going to is this weird thing I've been having going on in my mind for a little while now.
So anyone who's completed Hollow Knight or is at least well versed in the lore knows that the ancient enemy of the Radiance is the Void. And Void is kinda a huge plot point in the game that relates directly to a lot if not most of the events that goes on in the game. And there are also the gods or "higher beings" of dreams, i.e. Grimm and Radiance, and whatever the heck the Pale King and White Lady are the gods of.
So my question is, was there an original god or higher being of the Void?
I know that in the Godmaster ending, the knight or little ghost becomes the Lord of Shades after beating up the Absolute Radiance but I just can't get this idea out of my mind. If there was a higher being of the Void, who were they? Did the Pale King make a deal with them in order to harness the power of the Void to create the vessels? Because from other sources (*cough* Undertale *cough cough) I've always seen Void as this sort of uncontrollable source of power that no one, mortal or god, could ever hope to tame to do anything of significance that wouldn't just backfire and blow up in their face.
I am kind of ranting so feel free to add your guy's opinion on this. And excuse how rushed and jumbled up this is, I was in a hurry to get it out and don't really have the mental capacity to care if this is understandable.
