“You know that I don’t like her. She loves you!”
“She was OUR best friend for years. All of a sudden you think you can just break that apart because you want me? Leah, I am faithful to you. I wouldn’t dare do anything to disrespect our relationship. The fact that you don’t trust me and I trust you with all of them is insane.”
“She has kissed you before.”
“We have a child. We had a bond. But, this is crazy. I can’t do this. I can’t live trying to justify myself for having friends. Do you even care about how I feel? Or, do you even care about what just happened to Matilda and why I was helping her? You were friends for a long time, Leah. I tell you when I’m with her. I tell you where I am. I let you keep tabs on me. I think this is over.”
“But...but what about Hazel? You are going to let her grow with a broken family?”
“We can parent her and not be dating. She will know she is loved and that is what matters. Better to have happy parents rather than parents that are together and miserable.”
