It's around noon when Leaito flies out for a little feather hunt, the Alternian sun beating down feeling only pleasantly warm to her skin. It's only after she and her lusus land in a field, close to where Leaito believes that highblood; Lenoto lives, that she spots a few nice-looking feathers under a nearby tree or two.
She happily wanders over, and begins collecting what she can. Leaito recognizes the feather as belonging to a secretary featherbeast, a type she doesn't yet have in her collection! She practically squeals in happiness at the find, and begins to follow the disjointed trail of them leading from one tree to another. It isn't long before the jadeblood actually finds herself practically on the lawnring of Lenoto's hive. Hm. Weird.
Maybe the feathers were from his lusus? No...no that wasn't right. The symbol on his shirt meant 'monkey', she was sure of that. Suddenly, the odd little 'prediction' from Deilya floats through her thinkpan. What was that she'd said about looking closely at 'indigo monkeys'? That it was the closest she'd get to her goal? Her curiosity now well and truly piqued, Leaito quietly starts to make her way to the nearest viewing portal of the hive. The shades are drawn, of course, due to the current hour...but she can hear some faint movement from behind.
She gives a hesitant knock on the glass.
Flying High
It was admittedly always a little odd to fly during the evening, but you supposed it had it's perks. The Alternian sun could be beautiful in it's brightness, but the two moons had their own charm as well. Especially since one of them was such a delightful shade of green...almost likening to the shade of a certain, long extinct blood caste.
You sigh in contentment, and lean forward to press your face against the wonderfully soft feathers of your lusus. Griffinmom was a little put off about being up and about so late, but she thankfully had decided to put up with your urge to fly this night. You think she likes to spoil you at times.
Soon, however, the pine-scented breeze of the forest below eventually gives way to a more salty one. You were nearing the ocean, then. You smile, and give your mom the okay to drop down. She deserves to do a little fishing after putting up with your flight request tonight. Giggling as she purrs in delight at your idea, you hold on tightly to her back as she dives down out of the air.
