SePem 155 Leak logger data displayed in the SePem 01 Master reader. This starter kit has 10 loggers. In the upper right you can see a real life deployment at a city water system. Two loggers of the 10, have significant leak indications. Logger #221 has a number of 256 on a scale of 0-3000. This was found to be a smaller leak as shown in the photo in the upper right. You can see that the sound was constant over the entire hour of the recording from 2am to 3am and never went to zero or quiet.
For logger number 218, the sound was at the maximum reading of 3000 the entire hour of the night logging. This was a major leak, a circumference break in a 10″ water main. This was significant enough a leak that the city could not keep their towers full. without the loggers, this leak would have been difficult to find as the water was going underground to drainage pipe outflows in weeds across the road in a valley and then immediately into a catch basin to creek on the other side of a farm field.
In the logger data on the bottom left, you see logger data that is not a leak. There are significant sound spikes within the hour of the recording, but there are also places where the sound goes to or almost to zero. If there were a leak, the leak noise would never go away and would be at some consistent level.
