Chip Schilling, shown here, is the multi-talented impresario behind Indulgence Press. I’ll let his website talk for him; it was a pleasure to have him attend our 3RDTUES gathering this month and present a handful of his publications. He was more fun than the movie about Gerhard Steidl.
Schilling is an artist, designer, author, printer, illustrator, bookbinder, publisher and photographer. He collaborates with other artists and writers on many of his editions. Text, narrative, and photography play key roles in Schilling’s work.

Thanks again, Dodd Demas, for hosting the group.
(BTW/FYI, the book in Sarah’s hands, lower right, is by Jason Fulford and Leanne Shapton, not Chip.)

I am happy to be part of this wonderful project by Friederike Schilbach. ‘The Bathroom Chronicles’ started as a small exhibition at MDC Cosmetics last year which dearest Friederike now turned into a beautiful book with Suhrkamp. Including 100 women, their bathrooms and short stories. Cover by Leanne Shapton.

#library #bookhaul (2/2): swimming studies by #leanneshapton, the partner track by #Helenwan, my body is a book of rules by @misswashuta, the boy who killed demons by #davezeltserman, and beauty is a wound by #ekakurniawan. So Helen wan is going to teach a writing workshop at @aaww_nyc and I wanted to read her book before I secure my spot and yo, I only read a few pages and there's so many details and wow what a world. I'm excited to be reading this and to be taught by a fellow Asian American woman in a writing workshop would be amazing. I hope I can take it! I borrowed beauty is a wound from the aaww library but had to return it unfinished. It was so engrossing and amazing. I can't wait to dive in again. My body is a book of rules looks incredible as fuck, just thumbing through it. All these look so so brilliant. Books are a hell of a drug, man. #elissawashuta #books #bookstagram
