I’m a member of langblr community for 5 months now, even though I use my main blog @sunsetinthecity for over two years already.
Anyway, inspired by @languages-are-my-second-home , I decided to make the introduction post.
My name is Zuza (shorter form of polish name Zuzanna, which in english would be Susann) I was born in Poland, I’m 20 years old.
🇵🇱 Polish C2 (native language)
I am genuinely willing to help anyone who is learning polish,
you guys all deserve a standing ovation, because I imagine how challenging it must be. Even to me, this language makes no sense sometimes.
I’ve been learning english since kindergarten, this language feels like home to me and I consider it my “second native language”. I am catching myself thinking in english, just because it’s easier and simpler to me. I passed CAE and IELTS. In the future, I would love to live in an anglophone country.
🇫🇷 French B2 (target language)
I completely fell for the “language of love” since I have first come across it. I have graduated from a bilingual class in high school, where french was my “foreign language” and I had some subject taught in french. In the end, I passed DELF B2, but I decided to continue to study that language during my studies.
That was my second language in my high school. I managed to learn a lot and I understand a lot, but it is not my favorite and I consider it rather useless, although I must agree that italian is beautiful. I don’t want to lose what I have learned at school, but I wouldn’t say it’s my target language.
🇷🇴 Romanian A1 (target language)
I have just picked up this language, this year, because it’s a mix of romance languages (that I love) and slavic ones (that I’m familiar with), it is similar to italian (which I understand) , it is really fun for me to learn and it is my boyfriend’s native language, so it’s also a part of the reason. I am only learning using duolingo, so I only know basic stuff like colors, fruit, vegetable and numbers, but my goal would be basic communication at A2/B1.
🇪🇸 Spanish (target language)
This is my secret love, after french of course, because I love the way it sounds. I would love to learn it in high school, instead of italian, because it’s definitely more useful, but I had no choice. I’ve picked it as my second language for my studies. (Modern Languages with Translation)
