I’ve posted this before but the fact that Joyce saw Bob’s death again as she’s ‘killing’ Vecna. Coupled with the fact that there is ‘flashbacks’ of BOB THE BRAIN NEWBY in The First Shadow in Vecna/Henry’s Mindscape!
Vecna is not operating in as Henry’s Mind Scape. Vecna’s Mind Scape is just like a combination of EVERYONE’S memories and information (like an AI👀)…
The ‘copies’ Henry (supposedly 🙄) keeps in his mind, not being physical copies of the people. But data of people! It’s a copy because with ‘cloud computing’, multiple networks/ systems can still access data at the same time.
“Cloud computing metaphor: the group of networked elements providing services does not need to be addressed or managed individually by users; instead, the entire provider-managed suite of hardware and software can be thought of as an amorphous cloud.”
Cloud computing - Wikipedia
The concept has been around since the 1960s ish, but became more widespread and used in the 1990s…
Time-sharing - Wikipedia
For the 1960s it was still a more manual tasks compared to today.
As I mentioned in my science fiction genre analysis of the show, the characters will probably ‘wake up’ or ‘escape’ when they encounter the real version of whatever technology started this process in real life/ the future. If the lab had access to the future tech of say 2016, this would still have its roots in the ‘cloud’ in the 1990s. It would be built upon it. So, if they do find ‘the cloud’ or learn about it, their vague understanding and knowledge given to them (here maybe the SMMF is taking this shape to guide them towards ‘the cloud’) would become clear to them! They would understand the foundation of the technology that was used against them, and be able to find a way to undo it.
They will probably have to use the analogue technology though, as all of their stuff is in our digital realm of technology today. The tapes are important yes, but again, I believe the characters are only interpreting the technology from their viewpoint. It is probably a more futuristic technology that they can only either understand in the technology that they KNOW in that moment or through a fantastical story. Therefore, they could use their knowledge of the technology of the past (relative to us or the 90s) to ‘reset’ the warping done on them by the future.
I am basing my history of Hawkins on the fact that the Upside Down has been there for quite some time, but maybe can only access technology of the future relative to the patterns outlined in the Montauk Project. So, the events of the 1950s with Henry were undone using analogue tapes/ other stuff we’ve seen which means Brenner also would still have access to it for when El is in Nina!
So to sum it up:
The Upside Down is basically a conduit between where the gates are and the nebulous future. However, I believe the Upside Down to be not necessarily “stuck”, just that time does not pass in the Upside Down for people while they are in it / they do not age. At the same time, they have access to future knowledge through the form of nebulous data. This probably presents itself more-so as a precognition rather than an actual learning process; but conducting experiments inside would obviously like get more and more from it.
The knowledge and technology summed by it is used by the lab (corporate entity) as a way to make weapons for the military entity and to develop software for the government entity. For the characters, the use/observation of this future technology will appear as either a technology analogue in their time, or will appear supernatural in their perception of the world UNTIL it becomes materialized in the real world timeline. So, that’s how the Nina tapes AND Vecna can exist in their understanding, AND Henry.
In order to defeat the lab, they had to destroy the Upside Down. But like the Upside Down isn’t destroyable, they destroyed the MAC-Z/GATE in the library. The illusion Kali and El did was of the Upside Down being destroyed, to mislead maybe the military.
Now, Mike is still (I believe) the only one not having much contact with the Mind Flayer or the Upside Down, he was in there yes but his interaction with it is so much less than everyone else throughout the years. It was until it could not be avoided.
So, but here he able to connect just enough to see the cloud as part of the Hive Mind (or from Will).
There’s also a delay in technology, so what’s available during research isn’t necessarily when the general public is interacting with it.
I refer to my Henry Creel as a VCR - I think this was the message for BOB, using the VCR with the Mind Flayer from Henry. As, in 1959 there was defo an access point to the Upside Down, but they were using technology from the 1980s. This could also be where Bob the Brain comes from, as microprocessors/CPUs are considered the brains of a computer. These gained much more popularity in the 1980s despite being around for a bit longer, they became part of consumer electronics. This could be what the ~stone~ represents - a CPU/microprocessor. The technology of the 1980s appearing as supernatural/ otherworldly in the 1950s.
To right the timelines, they don’t necessarily have to explain everything with the analogous future technology- they will use the technology of the period because that’s how it was presented to them. So, this is where ENIAC comes in - the first computer in 1946 (roughly when Henry was born to play him in line with the First Shadow). But we hear a different line of memory from Victor Creel, this is where it’s hard to parse out the differences based on who’s telling the story; but he’s also in Pennhurst 🫣🤨 because he’s crazy (?)
Probably the first contact with Upside Down happens, connecting them with 40 years later, 1983. So 1943 is when this first contact is initiated, and Captain Brenner’s blood is altered, but the contact with the Upside Down is short-lived. Thus, they experiment with his blood and use it to find a way to connect with the Upside Down again. THEN, it’s actually Brenner’s dad’s blood that is used for the experiments with the kids. So, we have tests going on in the 1950s. So I of course think the SMMF is connected with the Upside Down, but in a different way. The Upside Down is where the data transfer & that stuff happens, but the SMMF is manifestation of the HUMAN consequences of transgressions into the future. So, the first gate I think is opened actually in the 1960s after Henry is taken to the Upside Down.
Kids with existing abilities are experimented on and brought to the lab, Henry does not actually go to the Abyss or Dimension X but his powers are like first experienced by him in 1940s. He just doesn’t understand them. He’s then taken by the lab to Hawkins, use his ‘innate’ psionic abilities to experiment on giving him Brenner Sr’s blood- this is where I think Brenner Sr actually becomes the man in the cave who is double agent or detracting. He does not want to open these gates, but Brenner does…
Henry becomes the first gate opener in the 1950s/1960s. Just as the Snowball is the tether to everyone getting messed up in this shit, the First Shadow is the adults’ tether. They have to find a way to rewrite the events of the First Shadow & following using technology around only at that time period AND THEN repeat with from the Snowball onwards- which is where the tapes come into play. Brenner isn’t using the tapes technically, he’s using future tech that they perceive as tapes. But they can use their own knowledge of technology at that point to like get the ‘real’ version of events that happened. So they have to do this for basically all of Hawkins history. And they probably have to work backwards, so start with our generation of kids and THEN the generation before them. So The First Shadow COULD come out after we unwind everything because there will still be memories.
Mike and Will do ~trade places~ but not literally. Will is already being watched by the government, and the SMMF knows Will and Mike have a connection so the SMMF uses MIKE as the primary attachment to destruction post-Snowball. He can kinda see the future, because he is given enough information to do what is needed to destroy the lab. For instance, it is weird that he leaves right before Vecna could get him. Well, it’s because he had the premonition to GTFO the SMMF and the lab are in a Cold War using the kids and Vecna as the proxy wars. It’s not good on the part of the SMMF, but the lab does also have to be stopped because it’s altering the fabric of the world. The kids can use these premonitions to communicate in codes and all. Will does ofc still have a connection but only when he returns to Hawkins. Mike says stuff, it happens; Will uses the Hive Mind too. They’re the bridge, both needed to play a different role but to actually succeed they can’t be together. Same with Bob and Henry, that’s why Patty is there but she’s also the MF so she’s providing guidance in a way that seems like interference same with El.
Then in 1983, they are connected to 2016. In 1989 they are connected to 2025. In season 5, they cannot go past 1989 🤨
But in the 1990s they could briefly open the gate again to let El, Kali, and Henry out. So those 3 are probably just chilling in the void rn tbh. The hints of El, Kali, and Henry are left in the epilogue.
Mr. Whatsit, purple & weird illusions, the photo of El. The painting.
The painting is not left from them tho, it’s left by Will before his memory and knowledge is severe from the rest of them because the gate is closed. They need to open it one more time, but can only do so once they learn about the ~Cloud~ in the 1990s. That’s their secret thing that’s been set. When they find the Cloud, they will then open the portal for the SMMF/Upside Down.
That’s why the picture has Will the Wise opening a portal, it’s the instruction to open a gate. That’s why he has a picture of El, because the portal Will the Wise opens is the instructions to connect them to El inside the Upside Down. The three headed dragon is El, Kali, Henry AND the three headed entity of corporate, military, government. Henry, Kali, and El all together could probably use their powers from INSIDE the Upside Down to open the gate temporarily to get back in & finish this shit up you know fr.
So the cycles are 30 years roughly- you can get about 30 years of tech into the future through opening gates to the Upside Down.
1940s -> 1970s tech
1950s -> 1980s tech
1960s -> 1990s tech
1970s -> 2000s tech
1980s -> 2016 tech
1990s -> 2026 tech
Something related to the lab does happen every one of these decades, and we finish our first like 40-year overall ‘loop’ in 1983 when Will goes missing. I think both of these cycles are important. We also have loops within these time periods, and the dates are kinda weirdly connected to the El Niño Southern Oscillation. I’ll attach some general dates, and my previous post about ENSO.
💬 3 🔁 0 ❤️ 13 · Enzo’s as THE exit but not in the way we think ENSO - El Niño Southern Oscillation ENSO has three cycles - El Niño (war
So we could ALSO be getting a connection between technological advancement, AI, AND climate change. This is notable because Brenner Sr. has his weird experience in 1943, where they make the ship invisible. This could mean literally invisible, OR invisible to enemy radar. And his blood is changed. It is important to note that the ENSO can interfere with naval communications relying on ~electromagnetism~ (radio etc).
Obviously the SMMF and UD are connected, and I’m not entirely sure how. I think that as the UD represents knowledge, technically anyone could access it and that’s why they wanted the psionic kids after seeing Brenner Sr’s experience. So, he had some experience he didn’t understand overall.
I’ve talked about how the SMMF changes shape as well based on who it’s in contact with, so, does it actually show up as changed blood or is that how it is explained 🧐 Eugenics was still rather popular in the 1940s, so it may be a manifestation of the scientific understanding of that specific time period. Because it was framed as scientific. But there’s also synthetic drug development happening both in the 1940s and the 1970s. Whew boy so much going on here.
All of these posts start fine then I get carried away

How the Right IT Company Shapes Digital Success in 2026
In 2026, technology is no longer a supporting function, it is the foundation of modern business. Every organization, from startups to global enterprises, relies on an IT Company to design, manage, and scale its digital operations. Choosing the right IT Company has become a strategic decision that directly impacts growth, efficiency, and long-term competitiveness.
A modern IT Company delivers much more than software development. It provides end-to-end digital solutions that include cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and system integration. These services allow businesses to operate faster, reduce manual processes, and deliver seamless digital experiences to customers. As markets become more competitive, companies that adopt advanced technology early gain a clear advantage.
One of the biggest strengths of a reliable IT Company is its ability to adapt to changing technology trends. With rapid advancements in AI automation, machine learning, and cloud platforms, businesses need experts who stay ahead of innovation. An experienced IT Company helps organizations adopt new technologies without disrupting existing operations, ensuring smooth transitions and scalable growth.
Security is another critical area where an IT Company plays a vital role. As digital systems expand, cyber threats become more complex. A trusted IT Company focuses on building secure systems from the ground up, implementing data protection measures, compliance standards, and continuous monitoring. In today’s digital environment, strong cybersecurity is not optional—it is essential for maintaining trust and protecting business assets.
Cloud computing continues to redefine how organizations work, and an IT Company enables this transformation. By offering cloud migration, optimization, and management services, IT companies help businesses achieve flexibility, cost efficiency, and remote collaboration. Cloud-based solutions allow teams to access data anytime, scale resources on demand, and respond quickly to market changes.
What truly differentiates a successful IT Company is its understanding of business objectives. Technology alone does not create value unless it aligns with clear goals. The best IT companies work closely with clients, analyzing workflows, challenges, and future plans before delivering customized solutions. This partnership-driven approach ensures that every technology investment supports measurable outcomes.
Whether launching a digital product, automating internal processes, or modernizing legacy systems, an IT Company becomes a long-term partner in growth. In a world driven by digital innovation, businesses that collaborate with the right IT Company are better equipped to scale, innovate, and succeed in the evolving digital landscape.
