Finally got the loft setup for distance learning. I am also a VIPKID teacher so my teaching materials are up there too. I am still on break from teaching until I figure out how to juggle an unpredicable infant who doesn't always sleep through the night which is when I need to teach due to me teaching during China's peak hours. May do something else entirely instead......I always have to re-invent myself after having another child.
Anyway, my mind does this kind of topic jumping constantly so forgive me if it is coming out in my writing as well 🤷♀️.
Here are photos of what I came up with. It is not as beautiful or as Instagram worthy as some other people's spaces but I worked with what I had and bought some other inexpensive pieces from Amazon or Walmart to spruce up the walls and give me more storage.
I already had the desks and the white cube shelves and the desk chairs. I purchased another cube shelf from Amazon that was just made from fabric and metal poles. It is very light but yet surprisngly strong enough to hold my teaching props. I also purchased a $20 whiteboard from Walmart which is amazing for the price but I did find out that is not magnetic like other whiteboards. I then bought a wire wall hanging which came with clothespins and hooks for the kids to hang up important papers or any artwork they may work on in school. I also bought another hanging shoe rack from Amazon to use as hanging storage for my vinyl which works out wonderfully!
After looking at my work so far, I think I want to repaint the middle desk to match the blue desk I have on the right. I also think I may want to add little metal hanging shelves/caddys on the wire wall hanging which can be used to store pens/pencils/sticky notes and maybe a decorative plant or two. There's always room for improvement for sure.
