Nicknames: The part of someone that I see/ That I love the most dearly/ I linger, thinking over the best one/ But sometimes it simply bursts forth/ Full bloom and beautiful/ Sometimes it takes a long while/ Before I see such a flower.
Sky: Clear blue and beautiful/ Ready smiles and laughter/ I tried too hard/ He’s gone now/ I didn’t know a single thing/ Perhaps I scared him off.
Knight: Dark red and warm/ Hauling me out of corners/ Wrapping me in strong arms/ Showing me how to stand on my two feet/ He’s got his lovely lady now/ He was never mine to keep.
Hunter: Dear ‘Loved, your hands!/ The Brown Boy, pines and mud/ Creeks, the beach, fire/ Talk to me, lad, don’t ignore me/ I hardly know a thing of you/ Wish I knew you best.
