For the first post of the year, I thought I’d share what I’m learning! My mom, @heididardenart, is teaching me oils 🥰! So last night I just did a few doodles and she showed me how to do the distant trees on the mountains using a fan brush which was amazing. Oh my gosh the blend-ability with oils is sooooo beyond satisfying 🤩🤩, and the whole feel of it is like painting with velvet!! I’m definitely going to have to get used to working in more layers and how to build it up slowly, since acrylics are much quicker to work with but it’ll be a fun journey for sure!! On another note, I finished one of my paintings, so now I just have to get a frame for it!
