So cryptid crush doesn’t have any merch,,, but I’m so brain rotted I make my own. this is @squidinu ‘s universal cryptid warning symbol and I used a local wood burning studio to burn it into this leather book. Now I have some place for all my stickers to go in !!

Book restauration

My mother had this old paperback version of Lord of the Rings that was broken in half and had a missing page. She wanted to throw it away, but I decided to restore it instead. Here are the results:

A blank book, I got tired of seeing it lonely lying around and figured I toss it on my Etsy as a one-off for 30 bucks. It's with tea-stained paper and one of the first books I tried binding so it's a one of a kind : )

Engravings from a victorian picturebook.

The living world: a complete natural history of the world's creatures by J.W. Buel was first published in 1891-- this book looks like an absolute delight, the kind of book one could get lost in for hours.

It seems harder to find such books being published today. I think in someways a book like this could fill the role that surfing the web and watching videos do today.

I especially love these creatures of the deep. The crowded cluttered image of abundance reminds me of Victorian style museums where everything is just shoved together to impress with abundance and variety.
