i’m honestly kinda sick of the trope where “everyone thinks this character is cr*zy for talking about weird shit until it’s proven that it’s an actual supernatural phenomenon!!1!” like it just reminds me that no one ever believes us and thinks we’re all cr*zy fucks who don’t deserve to be heard or treated with respect (until its proven that what we’re experiencing is actually real which doesn’t happen irl)

#i can also see how it might be comforting bc i identify w these characters a lot of the time and its nice that theyre vindicated #but its so disheartening bc in real life like.. these things are not objectively real and we're treated like shit for believing in them #or even just experiencing them #not that people should be like 'oh ur right you are cursed by the universe and you did something evil at birth and now ur being punished'#but like when i see characters getting called cr*zy and ins*ne and treated like shit for believing in things similar to me i wanna die fjkdh #and then it's like 'but don't worry!!! it's actually real!!!' ok cool but the things mentally ill ppl experience aren't so where does that #leave us #does this make any sense does anyone relate lol #ok to rb btw #(if anyone is curious i'm talkin about the oa but i read and watch a lot of fantasy/speculative stuff so i see this all the time)
