I’ve always thought Madara as a strong ENTP.
Reading the description...I'd have to disagree. Optimistic, oblivious, and charming are three things I wouldn't quite say Madara is. It actually sounds more like Hashirama (and almost is, as Hashirama is ENFP/ENFJ). Even as a child, Madara was only slightly optimistic towards building the village; but even then he was much more of a realist, laying out detailed plans and methods to being able to do so. Once he and Hashirama "broke up" at the river, that quickly shifted to pessimism. When they founded Konoha, there was a hint of optimism again, but as the slightest hint of trouble, his doubts and pessimism resurfaced. He left believing the only outcome for the village (and the rest of the world) was a bad outcome.
As for oblivious...well, he simply doesn't have the air of that around him IMO. Not much more I can say on that. And charming...again, he's more...creepy? than anything. He has been shown to be poetic with his words, but he's not the kind of guy people would swoon over (except his looks, maybe). His demeanor is quite unapproachable. He doesn't smile and joke around with people like Hashirama, nor does he put effort into making himself appear "good". Nearly pushing Hashirama to kill himself and later saying he would rip out his throat are some examples why I can't see him fitting in that aspect, either.
If he's going to be classified as an extrovert, I think he would be an ENTJ sans the "strive for leadership and power".
