Revisiting some old standbys today, my particular choice for British supergroup to obsess on. Lord, I'd forgotten just how *massive* these albums sound, and these guys were just in their twenties. Because I bought Led Zeppelin II on cassette, to this day I prefer the order The Lemon Song > Heartbreaker > Thank You > Living Loving Maid (She's Just A Woman). Las sesiones de grabación tuvieron lugar en diversas localidades del Reino Unido y Estados Unidos entre enero y agosto de ese mismo año. La producción está enteramente acreditada al guitarrista y compositor Jimmy Page, mientras que también fue el primer álbum de Led Zeppelin en utilizar las técnicas del ingeniero de sonido y productor Eddie Kramer. Desde su lanzamiento, Led Zeppelin II tuvo una considerable cantidad de ventas y fue el primer álbum de la banda en alcanzar el puesto número uno en Estados Unidos y Gran Bretaña. En 1970, el director artístico David Juniper fue nominado a los premios Grammy por el mejor diseño de álbum. El 15 de noviembre de 1999, recibió el disco de platino de la RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) por haber vendido doce millones de copias.
