Hey!!!! I saw you have open requests! If it’s ok can you do something for lee!will? He’s so cute and Will deserves to get tickled and laugh and be happy :(
Was thinking a Byler one (taking place sometime in season 4 maybe since that’s were you really see that Will has a crush on Mike so it would be really cute swing Mike tickle Will and Will is so flustered. Was thinking maybe one where he sees something is bothering Will and he tries to tickle Will to make him feel better (extra credit if Mike accidentally gets his worst spot and just wrecks him there lol).
If you can’t or don’t want to I totally understand!!! Either way thank you ❤️
Okay, so first off, thank you anon, and like, I’m super super sorry for putting this off for so long. I don’t have an excuse other then the fact I just haven’t been motivated to write, but I’m back now, and I’m gonna make the best fic ever!
The World Turned Upside Down
Pairings: Byler.
Warning: Tickle fic, sad Will, oblivious asf Mike.
A small grunt parted from Will’s lips as he dug the blisteringly hot shovel, into the cracking, dusty ground. Scooping pile and pile of..sand or soil, or whatever this abandoned car dump was made of, Will didn’t care, he didn’t have time to notice small things right now. There was only one thing he still had on his mind amidst all the chaos, and his name was Mike Wheeler. He pulled his shovel from the ground, his hands dampened by sweat as he leaned gently on his tool, gazing longingly at his crush. Mike Wheeler was also tugging at the tough ground, pulling heaps of rubble and dirt up. His fluffy, black hair sticking to the sides of his face, as he persisted in digging out the large grave for ‘Unknown Hero Agent Man’, as Argyle put it. Slowly, with squinting eyes, he looked up at Will Byers, who gulped and met his gaze.
‘It’s just, if that agent had just lived for one more second, one more second, then we could be on our way to El right now! We may have even got to her!’ Mike ranted his heart out on top of the wrecked car. He looked over at Will, sitting next to him, who had his chin in his palms and his elbows on his knees.
‘Yeah, I wanna find her too..’ he responded dryly, half listening to the conversation. It was always El. Always El, and never, ever him. Mike never wanted to do anything with him, he never called, he never played dnd, he didn’t even send a letter to him.
Mike looked over to his slightly absent friend, his eyes glazed over in his own thoughts. Mike could’ve gotten mad. He really could’ve. He could’ve gotten mad like he did in Rink-o-mania, he could’ve gotten mad like he did outside Will’s house in the rain, but he didn’t. He didn’t want to hurt Will, not when he was clearly hurting. God, he was so blind not to see it before.
‘You okay?’ Mike asked half heartedly, scooting closer to his friend.
‘H-huh? Yeah, I’m f-fine.’ Will stammered out, mentally kicking himself for the stutter. God, he’s gonna push further.
‘Well, that’s odd ‘cause you really don’t look it.’ Mike teased at his friend, concern filling his voice.
‘I-‘ Will huffed ‘I’m fine, Mike, I just..wanted to finally spend some time with you, and now El’s in danger, we’re in danger, everyone in Hawkins is in danger, and I just, I didn’t know, I missed you and our party.’ Will vented out unexpectedly, clenching his eyes shut as he wondered why he let his guts spill like that.
‘I missed you too, bud. I feel like if I wanted to be facing the end of the world with someone, I’d want it to be you!’ Mike smiles obliviously at his friend. It was true, he missed their DnD games, he missed talking to Will, he missed the antics the party used to get into. Hawkins was so different without Will, he was just so special to Mike. He had occasionally questioned, intrusive thoughts of course, if Mike’s feelings were more then friendship, but there was no way. What he felt for Will was totally different then what he felt for Eleven.
Mike grinned as an idea popped into his head, something he effortlessly used to cheer up Will in their childhood. He grinned and slid right next to to his friend.
‘Wanna know what I else I missed?’ He asked with an innocent tone, tapping his fingers impatiently in his lap.
‘What?’ Will asked, curiously.
‘This!’ Mike exclaimed bluntly, digging his fingers into Will’s belly, clawing his nails into them.
Byers immediately broke out into laughter, and frantically kicked his legs in the air.
‘Wait, wait, wiahahhahahat, Mihahahhahahahagakr!’ He wailed out, leaning backwards to try and avoid Mike’s dexterous fingers.
‘Hm, what is it, Will?’ Mike smiled innocently at his tortured friend, moving his hands to prod and pinch at his sides.
‘I-eep- it tihahah-eep-ckles!’ He blushed, getting flustered by Mike’s tease and his own loud, high pitched squeaking.
‘Aw, I didn’t notice, oh well!’ Mike gleefully said, trailing his fingernails down to Will’s hips, before drilling his fingers into them.
‘Gahahahahahad, gahaAHAHAHd, Mihahahahahahke!’ Will screamed, thrashing from to side to escape the vibrating, tickly feeling.
‘That’s my name, don’t wear it out.’ Mike teased at his helpless friend, before fluttering his fingertips write onto his neck.
‘Ehehehehehehehehe, nahahahahaha stahahahahp!’ Will pleaded, his head squirming around desperately to get away from Mike’s tormenting fingers.
‘Fine,’ Mike said, exaggeratedly, removing his fingers from Will and looking down at him. His soft, blushing cheeks and his gleeful filled eyes while he slowly caught his breath was slightly enamouring. Mike hadn’t a clue why, maybe he liked seeing his friend happy.
‘You’re a dick.’ Will said, bluntly, still giggling.
‘Aw, come on, don’t act like you didn’t miss that?’ Mike grinned at his friend.
‘What? N-no, I didn’t!’ Will deceived straight through his teeth, looking nervously to the side.
‘Seriously, Will, you used to say you enjoyed it when you were a kid.’
‘Yeah, and when I was a kid, I still played with action figures and that.’ Will huffed, crossing his arms lightly.
‘Maybe,’ Mike said, not believing a word ‘still, you still do some of the stuff you did when you were a kid, like drawing.’ Mike explained.
‘I guess..’ Will blushed out slightly.
‘Hey, Will, from now on, no more fights, no more secrets, no more hiding sadness away, all right?’ Mike asked, looking Will in the eye.
‘Yeah,’ Will lied. ‘Yeah, I can do that.’

I don’t really think this was worth the wait, I’m just glad I got the fic out finally, hope you enjoyed!
