The observatory was quiet.
Too quiet, if you asked Sprout — who definitely had not come all the way up here just to check on one insomniac moon boy again. Nope. Not at all.
“Astro,” he said, arms crossed. “It’s 2 a.m. You’re still up.”
The pale blue crescent curled on his big blanket pillow barely looked up. His starry eye twinkled once in sleepy recognition, but the other side of his face remained in that usual unreadable shadow.
“I’m resting,” Astro replied softly. “Thinking. The stars are… a bit noisy tonight.”
Sprout rolled his eyes. “You’re noisy,” he muttered, hopping up onto the cushions beside him. “You’ve been thinking for three hours. You’re about to cramp your whole blanket-body into a crescent roll.”
Astro huffed — a slow, almost dreamy little noise — and turned his face into the pillow more.
“I just… want peace. I didn’t mean to stay up this long.”
“Yeah, well,” Sprout said flatly, nudging the blanket with a foot. “You're too high-strung for your own good. Luckily for you, I’ve got a fix.”
Astro blinked. “...A fix?”
Sprout’s smirk was evil. Dangerous. Protectively chaotic.
“Yep,” he said, kneeling on the blanket now. “You’re overdue for a full giggle-reset. And guess what, space boy?”
He reached forward, claws surprisingly gentle as he hooked into the edge of the blanket folds. Astro's eyes went wide.
“N-Now? Sprout, this isn’t— this isn’t practical—”
“Don’t care,” Sprout shrugged. “You’ve got four arms under here all clenched up like panic spaghetti and a twitchy dream-core. You’re getting tickled and you’re gonna like it.”
And with that—
“EEP—!! Sp-Prout!!”
His claws found the edges of Astro’s torso — the place where the blanket had pulled taut — and started scribbling just lightly.
The reaction was instant. Astro's laugh burst out like a pop of stardust — breathy, soft, stunned:
“A-AhaHAHA—!! Whahahat are you—?!”
“Fixing you,” Sprout said smugly, digging his fingers in a little more. “Stars, you’re so tense. Do you ever let anyone just touch you?”
Astro curled. His blanket tried to trap Sprout’s hands — which he dodged easily, because he knew Astro’s exact weak spots.
“S-Stohohop—!! I cahan’t— y-you’re—!!”
“Aww, you can’t?” Sprout said with a gleam in his eye. “Poor baby moon. Bet this spot’s even worse—”
His claws dipped right under the horizontal stripe of Astro’s blanket — that soft strip right beneath his belly — and scratched gently.
“NNAHAHA—!! SPROUT!!”
Now that was a full-body reaction — blanket fluffing, eyes twinkling, legs kicking lightly as he absolutely failed to push Sprout’s hands away with his barely-visible arms.
“Giggly little star cluster,” Sprout cooed, even though his face was still all deadpan. “Maybe you’ll sleep now if I fry your core with enough squeals.”
“I-It’s not—!! PFFTT— not helping!!”
“Then I’ll keep going.”
A few more minutes of sweet torment followed — light strokes along the blanket lines, slow pokes under the chin, and a very unfair attack to Astro’s sides that made him squeak and grab at Sprout’s scarf with trembling fingers.
Eventually, Sprout slowed. Astro was glowing — soft moonlight pulsing in sleepy, happy waves. His laugh faded into tiny hiccups and hums.
“Feeling better?”
Astro nodded. Mumbled something like “Mmhm… warm… fuzzy… still vibrating…”
Sprout smiled. For real this time. And tugged the blanket up higher over the moon cookie’s chest.
“Good. Now sleep. Or I’m getting Cosmo up here next.”
Astro chuckled — the tiniest giggle-bubble left in his throat — and snuggled down, his hat slipping over his eyes.
“...Thank you, Sprout.”
“Tch. Whatever.”
But Sprout still stayed there — guarding the edge of the blanket nest like an overprotective fruit. Even as Astro drifted off, he kept one tiny claw resting gently on his side.
Just in case another tickle was needed.

Astro LER headcannons🌓:
he is a bit of a shy ler, as he can find the act flustering. He also doesn't do it often as he hates revealing his arms, even if it's just his upper pair. And his magic stars are soft but not soft enough to do any real damage. But thankfully his own dreams inspire new ways of tickling others.
Often chooses to use tickle tools as it is more affective than his stars. His favorite is the feather, it always works wonders.
He loves to either tickle someone to sleep or tickle them awake, mainly just tto tickle them asleep though. He decently enjoys it when he finds the stubborn overworked staying up late loke usual because it means he can tickle them back down to where they need to be, in bed!
He doesn't have a favorite Lee since he is more focused on sleeping. But tickling the young toons never get old!
He had had tickle dreams occasionally and each one leaves him flustered no matter what position he was in. He also on occasion had to give others a few tickle dreams himself. It never stops being weird but he has a job to do 🤷♂️.
He is the only one who knows that dandy is ticklish and how to tickle him. Dandy has also hinted a few times at does ticklishnes but never said anything to him about it.
Astro LEE headcanons 🌕:
Its hard to tell he is ticklish because of his blanket constantly wrapped around his body. If you have claws however you could poke him through his blanket a little . He does also have at least two tickle spots that aren't protected by his blanket.
His worst spots are his feet, neck , and stomach. Although he isn't that ticklish in whole, all three of those spots can get him giggling.
He isn't very weak to many tickles tools. But the light touch of a feather can startle him.
He absolutely hates being woken up with tickles. Let the man nap in peace! >:(
his favorite ler is vee, not only is she precisely and good at it but she is getting better at picking up emotional and body cues, knowing when to slow down and or when to completely stop. He also likes being tickled by dandy, but dandy had been getting distant with him and the other toons lately.
he CANT STAND raspberries, the vibrations is too much, it's legitimately the only way to get him cackling.
He gets quite fluster through complment teasing.

Astros body felt so tingly he hated the feeling he wanted someone’s hands gently tracing along his skin so badly but he felt embarrassed to ask for that so while everyone was asleep he also slept to forget about the feeling for a bit but if Astro sleeps when everyone else does the people that appear in his dream also have that dream (my headcannon)
Astros dream was normal at first he was with Dyle, Dandy, Sprout, Vee and Shelly all having a nice time talking eating until Dandy started ticking Astro the others followed Astro quickly woke up with a jolt

🌘: “dang it” Astro mumbled his four arms on his sides and belly now he wondered if he could just tickle himself he tried but it didn’t do anything his body begging for someones tickly hands
Astro walked into the kitchen/dinning room for breakfast he saw Dandy and Dyle talking they both looked at him then at each other they walked over to Astro. Sprout, Shelly and Vee followed.
sprout lifted up Astro like a sack of potatoes, Astro confused was about to say something but Vee interrupted
🎤:”we will talk alone with you”
Astro super confused felt sprouts hand do a gentle squeeze as he carried him Astro jolted and almost yelped But he slammed his mouth shut
Vees tail whipped around as Dandy spun his head to the side
🌼:”we will talk in my shop for the elevator”
they all nodded Astro so confused squirmed Shelly looked at him with a smile that ment he would be okay hopefully
🌘:💭”why are they taking me there?” Astro thought
Soon they got to Dandy’s elevator sprout places Astro on a chair
🌘:”g-guys what-“
🕰️:” that dream we all had it why?” Dyle said straight to the point
🌘:”what dream?” Astro said trying to sound innocent
🍓:”you know what dream Astro the one we tickled you in” sprout said blankly folding his arms
🦖:”we can tickle you if you want Astro you could’ve just asked” Shelly said her voice trying to sound serious but had a hint of sweetness
🌘:”me being tickle no no I’ll be oka-WAITHEHEH”
Astro basically squealed when Dyle ripped off his blanket revealing his 4 arms all the mains have seen them before and Dandy began drilling his hands into his ribs Dyle held his upper hands in the air with one hand and absolutely weaked Astros neck his neck
Astros lower arms immediately tried pushing Dandy off Sprout grabbed his lower arms and began gently tracing his palms
Astro began squealing and started arching his back off the chair as dandy kept ticklings his belly his belly
Vee and Shelly worked on his legs Shellygently tickled his knees and Vee absolutely started killing his feet Astro laughed louder trying to pull away they stopped for a bit sprout lifted up Astro and placed him on a blanket that they layed down for him and began again but this time they each went one at a time Vee started she picked his neck while everyone else held him down
🎤:”such a cute laugh glad I’m recording this I’ll share it with the others so they hear just how adorable you are Astro” Vee teases as Astros face burns red
🌘:”Veeheheh s-stop that guys p-please”
🌼:”nah you wanted tickles so we are doing so” Dandy said as he began tickling his left foot only targeting his souls astro squealed and tried tugging away
Dyle held his leg in place a soft smile formed as the poor night toon tried pulling away it was adorable to them seeing the all time tired and more quiet toon being reduced to giggles
then it was dukes turn he chose Astros arm pits as sprout held his arms up Duke drilled his hands into them and used his thumb to gently massage his higher rib
🌘:WAITHEHEHEHE STO-STOP HAHAHA *snort* GUYSHEHEHE IM FINHAHAHAHA
dandy rolled his eyes as Shelly began she targeted his sides she was more gentle though so Astro got a little bit of breathing back before sprouts turn sprout flipped over Astro as he squirmed Astros back was extremely ticklish
everyone else held him down as sprout began tracing gently tickling and small raspberries all over the poor night toons back squeals and snorts where heard even tiny hiccups
everyone joined in on absolutely wearing his back as the poor toon tried getting away finally they flipped him back over and Dyle gave one last big raspberry onto his soft stomach
