I kind of adore the idea of a little "Meet the Parents" AU. >w<
I'm curious about how the, uh...(second... third...?) official meeting with Gwen would finally go. Maybe Miles and Gwen convince her dad to come along to soften up* (*distract) Jeff with Cop and/or Dad talk while they focus on the real boss fight: Rio.
I just feel like Rio's heart would melt seeing Miles and Gwen being cute together, especially if she gets Miles to help tickle her. >w<
I admit I'm pretty tempted to write this one now, but you know I love your style. ^w^

Lee: Gwen
Lers: Rio and Miles
Summary: Gwen finally visits the Morales household for her first official meeting with Miles’s parents. While Jeff and her father hit it off, Rio is a bit harder to impress. After some questioning and some fun in the kitchen, she begins to get along with Miles’s mother. An accidental poke leads them to an even better—while silly—way to bond.
Warnings: none! This is a tickle fic, so if you don’t like that, scroll away!!
“So, Gwanda. What do you think of the coquito?”
Rio’s voice was sweet in a rather disturbing way. It was the way that told her to be weary, to make sure she was respectful when she spoke. Gwen would never purposely disrespect Miles’s parents, of course. She was just being…extra conscious of her behavior.
“Uh, actually, it’s… Gwen. I was trying out the Gwanda thing, but it didn’t fit.” Not technically a lie. It was much easier than the full truth anyway. “Oh, and, it’s delicious, R— Uh, Mrs. Morales.”
Rio hummed in slight approval at the formal address she received. Miles must have warned her about using their first names. Nothing worth a medal or anything, but at least the girl had some respect for her and her son.
The sound of laughter and clinking glasses greeted Rio’s ears, and she rolled her eyes. Gwen had brought her father, George, along for the ride. After some initial tension, the two had hit it off and were sharing beers and stories in the living room. Unlike her husband, Rio’s trust couldn’t be earned so easily.
Miles strode into the room then, taking a seat beside Gwen. He’d been swept up into questions by George and his father and only managed to escape once they were slightly buzzed. He took Gwen’s hand, pressing his forehead to her shoulder for a moment in reassurance.
“She’s quite a nice girl, Miles.” Rio addressed her son, eyeing the gentle interaction. She couldn’t be as chilly when she saw how his eyes shone for the girl. “How about you two come and help me in the kitchen, eh? It’ll be a good test of how well she listens.”
Gwen’s eyes immediately shot over to Miles’s, looking for any signs of danger; if she was walking into a death trap, she wanted a warning. Luckily, Miles gave her a small nod and a smile. Usually, Rio was pretty happy when in the kitchen. She was an absolute machine everywhere, but she liked to cook. Miles would help with many meals, same with Jeff; that day, however, it was Gwen’s turn.
“Sure, yeah. I’d love to help, Mrs. Morales.”
They got situated in the kitchen, each washing their hands and getting their own instructions. Gwen was on vegetable peeling, Miles was seasoning the filling, and Rio was working on the masa. They were making a vegetarian version of pasteles.
The process was actually quite fun. Rio gave Gwen some helpful instructions, and the two actually started to get along pretty well as they worked. Sure, Rio had spent nearly the first hour of Gwen’s visit drilling her with questions, but they had reached a good place.
Once the pasteles were being boiled, the three had some time to relax and speak with one another. Jeff and George had settled in the other room to watch the game for that day, each more than a little tipsy. They knew their tolerance, of course; they were just having a nice evening in.
“You know, Gwen, you aren’t a bad cook. I might have to have Miles bring you around more often.” Rio smiled as she dried her hands, nodding contentedly at Gwen. She noticed a bit of banana leaf stuck to the girl’s apron. “Ah, here, let me get that.”
Rio wasn’t expecting the shrill squeak her touch caused.
“GYEEEhe!” Gwen jolted away from the accidental poke, her hand immediately moving to soothe the tingling on her side. A small poke usually wouldn’t do that much, but Rio had given the skin a little squeeze as she tried to grab the leaf. That definitely tickled.
“Oh? Everything alright, Gwen?” Rio hummed, pursing her lips. She knew exactly what had happened, of course, but it was more fun to ask and see Gwen squirm.
“Uh, y-yeah, it just…tickled,” she murmured, a flush quickly tinting her cheeks. She subconsciously scooted closer to Miles, sensing the mischief in Rio’s tone.
With a hum, Rio’s eyes met her son’s. It was a silent question: "Think she would mind?”
Miles looked over at Gwen, biting his lip. While she had been a bit tense at first, the blonde seemed to have taken a liking to Rio. He wanted them to get along, and maybe some playful bonding would help them reach that point. He nodded at his mother with a small smile.
That was all Rio needed.
She reached out, giving Gwen’s side a deliberate, experimental squeeze. The blonde yelped and jerked away from the touch, hiding behind Miles instinctively. “H-hehey!”
“Miles, honey, help me out.” Rio’s voice was teasingly calm, a small smirk on her face as she gave her son the order. She knew he’d do it, both to respect her and to tease his girlfriend.
Sure enough, Miles wrapped his arms around Gwen’s middle, whispering a small “sorry” as he turned them both around to face Rio.
“Miles! What are you— kkkhehehehe!”
Gwen’s complaints got cut off as ten nimble fingers latched onto her sides. Rio gave her a few quick squeezes and pokes, smiling at the giggles she received.
“M-Mrs. Mohohorahales!” Gwen’s squeaky laughter filled the kitchen as she squirmed, stomping her left foot to try and dull the tickly shocks running through her sides. A mix of embarrassment and giddiness had her squeaking through her giggles.
“I think I know why you and Miles are so good for each other,” Rio hummed, skittering her nails across Gwen’s stomach. The girl’s shriek was a welcome surprise. “You’re both adorably ticklish.”
“NYAHAHAHAHO!” As her navel was brushed, Gwen shrieked and kicked out. She could not handle her worst spot being targeted, especially in such a goofy situation.
Miles let out a soft grunt of effort as he held her still, pressing a little kiss to her cheek. His words were soft, spoken right into Gwen’s ear so only she could hear them. “I know, it tickles. At least Mom knows how adorable you are now. No way to dislike you after this.”
Unfortunately for Gwen, even her boyfriend’s sweet whispers tickled. She shook her head wildly, almost kicking Rio accidentally when she started truly attacking Gwen’s navel. “NOHOHOT THEHEHERE! *snort* IHIHIT TIHIHICKLES!”
“That’s kinda the point, hun,” Rio teased, lightening her touch just a bit. She didn’t want to overwhelm the girl, afterall; she just wanted to have some fun and bond with the kid.
While Rio was definitely doing a thorough job of tickling her, Miles still wanted to join in. Gwen would undoubtedly get revenge on him later for helping to hold her still, so he might as well have fun as he dug his grave. He started nuzzling and kissing Gwen’s neck and the shells of her ears, knowing it would add some sweet squeaks and squeals into her laughter.
“GYEEHAHAHA! MIHIHILES!” Gwen whined and tried to kick the boy, thrashing in his arms. She’d usually appreciate his sweet kisses, but he was deliberately trying to tickle her; she was so wrecking him later.
Rio felt her heart melt a bit at the sight of the two. Miles looked so happy to see Gwen squeak, and he was obviously enjoying the sound of her laughter and the sight of her blushy smile. It was nice to see her son enjoy himself, especially with someone who she now knew was a pretty nice girl.
It made her wonder how happy the three of them must be together. They were focused on Gwen that day, but Miles had mentioned Hobie and their relationship to him. She’d have to have her son drag the other teen over sometime soon…
She was snapped out of her thoughts by the sound of Gwen wheezing. They’d been tickling her for a hot minute, and while she hadn’t really told them to stop, Rio could tell the girl was running out of gas. “Alright, that’s enough. Let the girl breathe.”
As soon as the tickling stopped, Gwen practically collapsed against Miles’s chest. Rio got her a glass of water and, once the teen had caught her breath, handed it to her. Gwen gulped down the cool drink rapidly, elbowing Miles once she finished it. “You’re supposed to protect me, not gang up on me.”
Miles snorted at the stereotypical barb, rolling his eyes. “I don’t remember you telling me to stop,” he teased, pressing a quick kiss to her cheek.
Gwen huffed and swatted him away, crossing her arms. She glared at her boyfriend, the look carrying a clear message: "You’re dead later.”
Passing the glass back to Rio, Gwen tried to tamp down her fluster and slight embarrassment. “Thanks for the water, Mrs. Morales.”
Rio took the glass with a small smile, observing Gwen’s reaction. She was sweet, a good listener, able to goof around, respectful, and made Miles happier than she’d seen him in a while. She’d officially won Rio over.
“No problem, and you can call me Rio.”
The smile that lit up Gwen’s face made Rio wonder how she’d ever doubted the girl. Needless to say, Gwen would be making many more visits to their home. And, perhaps, she’d also share some more laughter with them.
skipped out on yesterday srry omg. i wrote the intro and then got SO unmotivated it was fucked up but enjoy rhis
Pairing; lee!gwen lee!hobie (PLATONIC)
When people have bad days, they usually don't like to make it known to people. But.. when Gwen swung into the window and slammed it shut behind her, it wasn’t too hard to tell.
“You ‘right, Gwenny?” Hobie asked with a curious tone, glancing up from.. whatever he was doing. It was hard to tell with the mess of mechanical parts scattered across the table.
“I'm great. Amazing, even.” She grumbled, bending down and untying the shoes she borrowed from her temporary roommate.
“If you say so.” The taller shrugged, going back to fiddling with the robotical parts in front of him. He was interested, dare say worried.. but, he wasn't one to push it. Gwen looked back, siding her mask off before sitting down on the busted up couch next to Hobie.
“..What are you doing, anyways?” The spider-ghost asked, staring at the bits and bobs he had. “Stuff.” He shrugged, seemingly a bit distracted. “Did ‘ya wanna talk ‘bout it, then?”
“Nothing to talk about, just.. bad day. Like, really bad.” She admitted quietly, pulling her knees up to her chest. Hobie let out an understanding hum, before wrapping an arm around her shoulders. He was still mostly focused on his little project, sneaking glances at the girl once and a while before speaking up.
“So what, you jus’ wanna watch me? Bit stalker-ish, don't ‘ou think?” The comment made Gwen chuckle softly, rolling her eyes. “See, that's why we can’t have nice things.”
“Whatdou’ you mean by that, huh? You sayin’ that we’ve never had good times? I beg to differ.”
“You're putting words in my mouth!” She exclaimed, shoving his torso with her elbow. Even with the playful banter going on, Hobie noticed she was at least laughing.
“Yeah, and ‘our the one laughin’ ‘bout it, ay? Bit rude I think.” He responded, finally pulling his arms away from his work and pulling Gwen closer to him.
“Yeah, whatever yo-..” Gwen paused at the rare affection, letting a final laugh out before dropping her weight onto him. “Whatever you say.”
For once in her life, she didn't hear a snarky come back from Hobie like she usually would. She looked up with a concerned look, tilting her head. “..Your looking at me weird.”
“Yknow, you don't need to worry about me– wait. hobie, no.” Her worry soon morphed into a giddy expression, shoving his hands away from her torso. She knew that look too well to do nothing.
“I ain’t even done nothin’ yet!” Hobie laughed, holding her in place. “If ‘our not gonna talk ‘bout it, I gotta find a way to cheer you up don’t I?”
“Ihi’m fine!” She assured him, “amazing, actually!”
“That's what ‘ou said when you walked in, remember? Can’t be usin’ the same old excuses Gwendy, cohome out of it now.” He let out a chuckle at the playfulness, his fingers curling up against her sides.
“Hohobie!” She giggled loudly, half from the anticipation and the other half from the sensations. He was barely touching her, too.
“Yeah, what?” He asked, more focused on his hands than her words. His hands laid flat out on either side of her ribs, his fingers gently scratching over the spider suit. “See, this is what I’ve been teachin’ that Miles kid. use your whole hand, not just your fingers. You heard from him?”
“Stohop!” She whined, pulling her hood over her face to end just below her bottom lip. “Come on, can’t just leave me hangin’ like that. Answer my question, yeah?”
“Ihi hahave! Yehesterday- that's so bahad Hobie!” Gwen arched her back away, squirming in his hold, “Sohomewhere else!”
“Is it stop or somewhere else? You gotta pick one, can’t do both can I?” He replied snarkily, but still complied and switched to spider his fingertips down to her hips.
Her laugh died down a bit, but not to a complete stop. “Hah.. yohour hohorible!” She giggled, “evil, evehen.”
“I'm evil? I'm Spiderman. I think I'm angelic, actually.” He said with a scoff, squeezing her sides. “And, ‘our pretty rude yourself yknow. You slammed my window!”
“Ihi didnt mean too! Juhust- cahan you stohop that?” Gwen rolled her eyes, her body repeatedly flinching away everytime Hobie played out the motion of swiping his thumbs up to reach her stomach before travelling back down.
“Nah, don’t think I will. I’m comfy like this, thanks though Gwendy.” Hobie said as if her request was merely an offer to him, before moving up to scratch his nails in the middle of her tummy.
The girl gasped, her giggles shortly turning into a full blown laugh after. “This your spot then, ay Gwen? Ironic.”
“fuhuhuck yohou– shihit!” She whined, her legs kicking out against the arm of the couch
“HohobiHIE! stohopstohop- Yohou fuhuhucker!”
“you fuckkkeer!” Hobie mocked her American accent, “You non-brits have the most shittest insults yknow. Honestly, I’d rather you call me a twat.”
Soon his fingers came to a stop, moving to pull her hood back down to her neck to make it easier for her to take the air in. “You ‘ight there, luv?”
“Yeheah,” She replied, breathy giggles still escaping her. “Thanks.”
“Ay, had to cheer my drummer up somehow right? Can't have you being all mopey now."
The bed creaked in decrepit protest when Gwen slumped into the mattress, kicking her shoes to the other side of the room and letting out a deep sigh. That was her first action after barging into his apartment via portal and according to social etiquette, she had yet to say even a word to him, but in Hobie’s humble opinion, the deep shadows under her eyes were saying enough.
“Anything else?”
Another sigh. “Sorry.”
He waved it off and rolled on his stomach to lie closer to her, softly bumping her in the process and smiling, just in case she’d look up at him. She didn’t. “Everything okay?”
“Yeah.” She sounded tired. “Yeah, I’m fine.”
“You sure?”
“Mhm.”
A few beats of silence; nothing, not even a brief moment of eye contact. Hobie barely held back a sigh on his own and stood up. “Tea?”
Silence again, but there was a slight hesitation to it now. He didn’t push. Sometimes easy questions weren’t easy to answer. After some more silence, Gwen sat up, looking at her hands as she anxiously picked at the skin around her nails. “Can I get a hug first?”
Hobie felt his heart crack ever so slightly and quickly sat down next to her, pulling her in for a hug. The tension in her shoulders was insane. He hummed softly and took one of her hands, locked their fingers. “Do you wanna talk about it?”
“Do I have to?”
“‘Course not.” Hobie pulled away from her a little to look into her eyes and this time, she met his gaze. “But I’ll be here if you change your mind.”
Gwen looked like she was about to cry for a brief moment, then she quickly reentered the hug with him and he pulled her in a little closer. “I know… thank you…”
“Sure.” The silence settling over them now was contempt, peaceful almost, and he felt the girl relax a little. “Can I offer you some tea now? Or, I don’t know, anything else?”
“Depends.” Her voice was slightly muffled from where her face was buried in his chest. “What else can you offer?”
“I have a few smiles in stock.” Gwen squeaked in surprise when he softly wiggled his fingers into her sides and he couldn’t hold back a slight grin. “Maybe even a giggle or two.”
“Hngh- Hobie, you- heh-” She pressed her lips together just as the aforementioned giggle threatened to slip out, but Hobie saw the corners of her mouth twitch upwards.
“Me? Lil’ ol’ me? What about me, Gwendy?” He moved his hand up to her ribs to scribble there, chuckling when the blonde twitched and let out a snort. “That was cute, do it again.”
“Hobi-ehehe, yohou dihihipshahaha nahaha!” Gwen clutched onto his shirt a bit harder, trying her best to not block him with her arms and finally not holding her laughter back anymore.
“That’s what I like to see!” Hobie drilled his fingers against one of her ribs, earning a squeak. “If I admit I’m a dipshit, will you promise not to lie anymore?” He felt her go a little stiff and quickly pressed a kiss to her head. “I’m not mad, Gwendy. I won’t push. Just know you can be honest here, ‘kay?”
Gwen relaxed almost instantly and nodded, then a fresh wave of cackles took her off guard. “Nohohot thehehere!”
“Alright, alright.” He went back to her sides, now using one hand to stroke her hair out of her face. “Don’t wanna kill you, aye?”
Gwen didn’t seem too eager to answer him and Hobie smiled, continuing the soft tickling until all of the tension had faded from her shoulders. He then stopped moving his fingers, instead caressing her back and letting her giggles die down. “Better?”
Jessica dug into Gwen's ribs and Gwen jumped at the sudden contact.
"JEHEHSS"Gwen began to squirm and thrash harder for this was one of the bad spots.
"Hey, Gwen how many ribs do you have?" asked Jess who suddenyl stopped
"Dohohont pleahaese"pleaded Gwen
Jessica counted each rib and nibbled on each one. Gwen covered her red face, she started to attract attention by her high pitched giggles.
"Aww that's adorable" said Pavitr and Miles
"What she do this time"asked Hobie
"THIS TIME, YOU MEAN THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE" said Miles shocked.
"I feel like she bothers me on purpose just to get tickled" says Jessics.
Gwen groaned in between her laughter, knowing Jessica was right.
Jessica stopped her assault on Gwen's ribs and scribbled her nails in Gwen's arm pits (aka her worst spot)
"AHAHASTAHAHAP *snort* AHAHA"shrieked Gwen
Gwen is practically throwing her voice out, her hands left her face and grabbed onto Jessica's arms and attempted to push them out (it wasnt working).
"Omg she snorts" said Pavitr.
"She looks like a bloody tomato" said Hobie
"You mean you didnt know, it gets worse when you-" said Margo but was cut off.
"DOHONNT YOUHUHU DAHAHRE"screeched Gwen, it took all her might to get thst sentence out.
" Its gets worse when you simultaneously blow raspberries on her stomach" said Margo as she scurries off.
Jessica took the advice and Gwen at this point was just screaming.
Other spiders passing by would either coo or smile cuz watching a spiderman get wrecked at headdquaters wasnt unantural, heck they literally saw Pavitr get wrecked by Miguel two days ago.
Jessica noticed Gwen looking worn out and let up.
Gwen curled up on the floor and that's when Peter walked in.
"Is there a mouse spiderman or something cuz what's with the commotion" said Peter who then noticed Gwen.
"You alive there Gwen?"asked Miles who received a giggly groan.
Miles swung through Mumbattan, cursing at his terrible time management.
Pavatir had invited the squad to his dimension to hang out. Pretty much everyone had been busy, but Gwen said she could make it. Miles had rsvp'd, completely forgetting he had a test ten minutes before the set time.
So, as expected, he was running almost an hour late. He had let them know, but that didn't stop the guilt.
He flew through the air, heading towards one of the tallest buildings in the city. As he got closer to their usual meeting spot, he heard something.
Laughter?
With a quick swing, he catapulted himself upwards and was able to grab the edge of the building. Flipping himself onto the roof, he found himself staring at the source of the beautiful sound.
"Oh, hey Miles!" Pavatir greeted him, grinning from ear to ear.
"Hehelp mehe!" Gwen begged, thrashing in Pav's grip.
He had her back against his front, his arms wrapped around her waist to keep her mostly still. His fingers were dancing up and down her sides, hence the reason for the laughter.
"Uh… hey?" Miles cleared his throat. "What's uh… going on?"
"Oh, this?" Pav's smile morphed into a smirk. "She was so sad that you were going to be late that I just had to cheer her up!"
Miles felt his face heat up. "O-Oh."
Gwen shut her eyes, the blush on her cheeks amplifying. "Pahav!"
"Yeah, you should have seen her! She looked like a sad puppy. It was adorable!" He said, squeezing the bottom of her ribs.
She squealed and covered her face, her cheeks red as Pav's suit. A giggly whine sounded as she kicked her legs.
Miles felt quite a similar way, his own cheeks burning. He rubbed the back of his neck, avoiding eye contact with the smug spider-man.
"I'll just take your word for it." He said, sitting down some distance away.
"Ooh! I have a great idea!" Pav announced, ceasing Gwen's torment. She deflated immediately, peeking through her hands to look at Miles. Her senses stayed on high alert when it was obvious that Pav was not letting her go.
"Does it include tickling?" Mile's asked, trying to distract his brain with sarcasm.
"Yep! Since you're here, maybe you can tickle this poor, sad ghost! You were the one she was missing in the first place!"
Gwen's hands fell to her lap as she whipped her neck to stare at Pav. Her eyes were almost as wide as her suit's.
Miles' reaction was quite similar. Eyes wide, cheeks dark, and mouth agape. Anyone could see the gears turning in his head.
Pav burst into giggles, incredibly amused by their reactions. Man, he loved messing with people.
"Ok."
Gwen's head snapped around the other way, her fearful eyes landing on Miles. He was grinning mischievously now, despite his own blush. "Why not?" He shrugged, scooting closer.
"Great!" Pav replied, tightening his grip on Gwen. "I'll hold her!"
"Wait, wait, wait!" Gwen glanced between the boys, anticipation already running through her skin. "I don't need cheering up!"
"Sounds like something someone who's sad would say." Miles countered, settling down right next to her. "Right Pav?"
Pav nodded sagely, keeping a straight face for all of three seconds. Gwen spluttered, trying desperately to come up with an excuse to avoid the fate she ached for way too often.
Of course, she wasn't able to before Miles striked. He latched his fingers onto her side, much like Pav did, except it was so much worse.
She burst into laughter, her face flushing darker than before as she twisted in Pav's grip. She tried to grab Miles' hands, but was stopped by a poke to her upper ribs from the devil trapping her. She squealed -again- and snapped her arms back.
Maybe it was because he had literal electric powers, but every time his fingers connected with her skin it felt ten times worse than Pav's attack did.
"GuhUhuys!" She begged, kicking her legs desperately and covering her face again. "Nahaho!"
Miles stared at her face, his eyes glowing. He slowly dragged his fingers closer to her stomach, completely enthralled by her laughter.
Gwen lurched as his hands landed on the sides of her abs. To her absolute horror, a snort flew out from between her hands.
Miles froze, his jaw dropped in shock. Pav snickered as both of his friends' ears turned pink.
Hearing his amusement, Miles shook his head and resumed his attack. A dopey grin grew on his face as she continued to snort and squeal at the feeling.
"GUHUYS!"
"Alright, let's not murder the ghost." Pav commented, pushing her into Miles' arms. "Cuddle her instead!"
Miles yelped as he was knocked over by the giggly spider. His arms wrapped around her on instinct as they hit the ground. The blush on his ears became more prominent as she hugged back, snickering into his shoulder.
After a few seconds, Gwen gasped in realization and sat up, scooting a little ways away and hiding her Crimson face with her hair. "Sorry! I didn't mean-"
"It's alright!" Miles interrupted, sitting up as well. "Besides, it wasn't exactly your fault."
Gwen tilted her head, uncurling from herself. Miles smirked and nodded his head at Pavatir. Gwen's eyes widened and she smirked as well. They stood up in unison, their friend's eyes widening.
"H-Hey, guys!" Pav squeaked, backing away. "Can we talk about this?"
Evidently, the answer was no. Soon enough, the friendly neighborhood Spiderman of Mumbattan was just as red as his colorful suit.
•• @hexalianrebel-blackfeathers #16 (Cackle) with Gwen as Lee, possibly a little comfort with her being embarrassed of her laugh. Miles obviously adores her laugh, and Hobie just likes making her happy. ••
TickleTober Day 16 - Cackle
~YESSSSS I love it when tickles are simultaneously evil and loving (> w <) These goobers are always so fun to write. Going from silly, to reassuring, to a fun mix of the two is never not enjoyable to write. Thank you for requesting, and I hope you Enjoy! Happy spooky month!~
Lee: Gwen
Lers: Hobie, Miles
Summary: During one of their rooftop lunches, Gwen lets it slip that she doesn’t like her laughter. Miles and Hobie are quick to remind her how much they love it; of course, what good’s an argument without a demonstration?
Warnings: none! This is a tickle fic, so if you don't like that, scroll away!!
“I'm just sayin’, I totally could've taken that guy by myself.”
“Oh, come off it! I did, like, ‘alf the work, ya brat!”
Miles laughed as a fry was flicked at his face, expertly catching it in his mouth. Him, Hobie, and Gwen were hanging out atop a random skyscraper for lunch after patrols.
It wasn't a rare occurrence for them to relax on the roof of a random building, goofing around while hundreds of feet from the ground. Pav was out on a mission with a few other spiders, sadly missing that hangout. Still, it was actually pretty nice up there.
“Alright, no fighting. Eat your fries before I do.” Gwen snatched a fry from each of their little baskets, making them gasp and snatch their precious cargo away.
“Oi, oi!! Message received, sticky fingers.” Hobie mock-glared at her before grabbing a handful of fries, nudging Miles, and shoving the entire wad into his mouth. He grinned, raising his brows as his cheeks puffed all the way out.
That wasn’t incredibly funny on its own, but seeing Hobie, the cool, badass Spider-Punk, stuffing a boatload of fries in his mouth? And his cheeks? Gwen and Miles were dead.
Miles barked out a laugh, dropping into a peal of amused giggles. Nothing too obnoxious – just an entertained reaction.
Gwen, on the other hand, reacted much more clamorously. With a snort, she broke into loud cackles, immediately covering her mouth when she realized how she sounded. The girl’s entire face burned with embarrassment, resembling a fresh strawberry.
“What’re you covering your mouth for?” Miles was the first to call her out, his brows quirking in a troubled manner. Why was she hiding?
“I…c’mon, Miles. Nobody wants to listen to that.” Gwen huffed, squirming from the suddenly serious mood shift. Damn her and her big mouth…
Hobie put a stop to that immediately, swallowing his fry hoard as quickly as he could. One of his large hands hooked around her waist, easily pulling the girl into his chest. Tilting her head, he looked her dead in the eyes; even with fry crumbs in the corner of his mouth, he looked resolute.
“Shu’ up wit’ that. We love you, loud laughs an’ all. You couldn’ scare us away if ya screamed bloody fuckin’ murder.” Hobie’s tone, while loving, was firm, leaving absolutely zero room for argument.
Mile’s hand settled on her knee, tracing gentle shapes on it. She resented the smile that immediately tugged at her lips, trying to force it down.
“Who cares how loud or crazy you laugh? It’s unique, Gwen. If every painting looked the same, who’d bother with ever thinkin’ about them?” The teen’s tracing grew more intentional, his nails scraping across the most sensitive spots on her kneecap. They wouldn’t seriously…
Oh, who was she kidding; they absolutely would.
“G-guhuys, I get it. Just- EEEK! L-lemme goho!” Gwen flinched as a large hand squeezed her side, sending jolts of teasing electricity all throughout her midriff. It really wasn’t fair, how easily such a simple touch could put her on edge.
“Nah, see, I don’ fink you do, Gwenny. We gotta show ya.” Hobie gave her hip a little squeeze, his eyes lifting up to meet Miles’s. “Ain’t that right, smiles?”
Miles, who was grinning adoringly at the blonde, blinked and nodded. “Uh, y-yeah. If you’re not gettin’ it, it’s our moral responsibility to make sure things sink in.”
“Thahat doesn’t even make any- pfffFFAHAHAHA! FUHUHUCK, HOHOBIE!” Gwen didn’t even get to finish her sentence before the punk got to work on her belly, squishing and teasing the soft skin beneath her navel. Miles was quick to join in, gently fluttering his fingers beneath her knees.
Gwen immediately began to thrash and squirm, not even trying to hold still. Hobie just brought his legs around to hold her thighs and waist, saving Miles from a kick to the face. Their combined efforts tickled like crazy; of course they went for some of her worst spots right off the bat. Chivalry truly was dead…
“W-WAHAHAHAIT! HOHOBIE!” Shaking her head, Gwen’s stomach bubbled with giddy anticipation, feeling Hobie’s teasing move towards her navel. The jerk just chuckled and blew her a kiss before dipping a finger in, causing her to lose her mind.
“NYAHAHAHA! *snort* FAHAHAHACK!” Gwen broke down into loud, shrieking cackles, with the occasional snort peppered in. Hobie just rolled his eyes affectionately.
“The lip on this one. Oi Miles, ‘ow can a gal wit’ such a pretty laugh ‘ave such a foul mouth?”
“I dunno, man. Sure is fun to listen to, though.” Miles’s voice was tooth-rottingly dreamy, revealing just how mystified he was by Gwen’s laughter. She felt her face heat up even more, her blood practically turning to molten magma beneath her skin.
“SHAHAHAT UHUHAHAP!” Gwen tried to protest, but it was fruitless; she obviously wasn’t going anywhere until she either admitted her laugh wasn’t terrible or hit her absolute limit. Eh…she wasn’t gonna cave. If they wanted her to fluster herself, they’d have to work for it.
“Ooo, she sounds happy. Want me to get her feet?” Miles offered, making Gwen scoff through her laughter. Hobie smirked and nodded, not letting up on her poor navel for even a second. “Be my guest, Miles. Just watch fer flyin’ kicks.”
“T-TRAHAHAITOHOR!” Technically, he’d “betrayed” her the moment he touched her knee, but going for such a ticklish spot felt like the final nail in her tickly coffin. Miles was so getting it later.
The moment his fingers pressed into her arches, Gwen saw stars. Her cackling, screeching laughs echoed across the rooftops of New York, disturbing any poor house pets within the area. No matter how fiercely she thrashed, Hobie held strong, Miles’s headlock around her ankles never loosening.
“OHO- OHOHO MYHY GAHAHAHAHA! *snort* HAHAHAHA!” The blonde couldn’t even speak, the only thing on her mind being the intense sensation of the tickles. Then, of course, the two shitheads somehow made it worse.
“Hear that? Music to my ears, luv~” Hobie hummed in her ear, barely audible over her own ruckus. Miles joined in as well, though he had to speak much louder to be heard.
“You look so beautiful right now, Gwen. Like, seriously. Never hide this from us.”
Wow. She hadn’t been expecting such a vehement statement from Miles, feeling as his words set her mind and heart alight. It was all so much. Too much, at that point. Her closed fist began pounding on Hobie’s thigh, tapping out in the most sane way she could manage.
Hobie stilled his fingers immediately, kicking Miles’s back to let him know she’d tapped out. He, too, ceased his tickling, instead crawling over to cuddle up against the other two spiders.
Hobie’s warm hands softly rubbed her stomach to help her calm down. He offered her his half-bottle of Arnold Palmer, which she greedily gulped down. The tea refreshed her and soothed her throat, while the sweetness of the lemonade left a nice taste in her mouth.
Miles’s hand found hers, gently running his thumb across her knuckles. The other wrapped around her, pulling her closer so they were leaning against Hobie in a three-way cuddle.
“So, Gwenny, what’d we learn today?” The punk’s lovingly smug tone made her want to both hug and strangle him at the same time.
When she didn’t answer, Miles skittered his fingers along the top of her thigh, making her squeak and jerk her leg up. “Ohokay, okay! Jeez…”
“Answers, luv.”
“Thahat my laugh isn’t terrible, and I shouldn’t hide it,” she grumbled, snuggling into their warm embraces. Man, even if the tickles were ruthless, the aftercare felt heavenly… “Especially from you boys. Happy?”
“Ecstatic. I might even do a little dance.” Miles wiggled his eyebrows at Gwen, earning an endeared huff and a boop from the exasperated girl. Hobie just chuckled at the scene, giving them both a squeeze as he wrapped them up in his long arms.
“Al’ight, bo’fa you behave. I still got some tickles in the tank, an’ I ain’t afraid to use ‘em.” That made them both settle back down rather quickly. He rolled his eyes and pecked the tops of their heads, listening to their breathing mingle with the sounds of the city. It was so perfect…
“Love you two.” The simple words were said so softly that both sets of eyes below him snapped upwards, each full of some kind of gooey emotion. They weren’t used to that tone from Hobie; it was wonderful.
“Love you too, Hobie.” Miles gave his arm a squeeze, his gaze warm and contented.
“Same here, Hobs. Even if you are a big meanie.” She tacked on the extra sass, but it honestly only made her statement feel more genuine.
Hobie laid back on his discarded flannel, pulling them with him. They were definitely having lunch there again. Sometime very, very soon.
