So we almost got a t word video. We can mourn that later. BUT considering the fact that in lore, Unus and Annus were the ones discussing it in place of Mark and Ethan, I can work with this-
It had been a few minutes since the cameras had shut off, the two entities talking idly about whatever came to mind and the inevitability of their own doom.
Unus was of course still fascinated with the mortal world and all it still had to offer, even more so now that they’re in the drivers seat of these vessels.
Though being the softer of the two, it had been growing by more obvious over the past few days that he was the one taking the coming death of the channel a lot harder than either of them thought he would.
Sadly, Annus didn’t really know what to do about it. They couldn’t exactly “stop the clock” as everyone had been so fruitlessly campaigning for. How was he supposed to cheer him up when it was fated that neither of them would live to see December?
He had no idea, that is, until Unus asked an interesting question.
“What even was that idea. About the endurance stuff?”
Annus thought back, “Oh... you mean when the long haired one suggested water-boarding?”
Unus nodded, “Mark, yes. That’s you.”
“It’s not me, exactly, but I understand. These humans wanted to test out their ability to withstand copious amounts of pain-“
“I know what torture is. What was the second thing?”
Lightbulbs suddenly went off in Annus’ mind. The spirit beside him hadn’t had as much experience in this realm. He had no idea what the mere sensation of tickling felt like- Besides perhaps a fading memory from the one they called Ethan.
“Yeah, I think so. That’s supposed to hurt, right?”
“No, no... It doesn’t hurt, perse...” Annus mumbled as the pieces fell together in his mind.
He’d been meaning to cheer him up for quite some time.
He suddenly gave a surpassingly warm smile, though his voice was somewhat teasing, “Here.... why don’t I demonstrate?”
Unus saw the look hidden beneath the warm exterior, blushing slightly at the sudden feeling that he was being eyed down like prey. Maybe he shouldn’t have asked-
Before any regrets could truly form in the entity’s subconscious, the older spirit proceeded to thoroughly explain what exactly tickling felt like, making sure to give as many examples as he could.
Unus was a giggling, flustered mess by the time it was all over, his eyes practically sparkling as he looked up at the other. It was a tender moment. Just the two of them.
It was nice to see Unus smiling again, even if Annus knew it may be for the last time.
But they would be fine, as long as they were together.
