I thought this was an interesting couple though slightly underdeveloped in the story (I have come around to the Oh Yu-ra plot arc but find it difficult to forgive how the side couples got shafted as a result). They deserved just a little bit more, in my opinion.

....anyway, here's some links to my fanfiction about them. all i want is for you to hang around is what should've happened next. your law of gravity is a slight canon divergence of what could have happened. Summary: Ju-ran has been slowly coming back to life as she recovers from her illness and years of disappointment. What she didn't expect was that all of her would awaken, including a desire she can barely control. It causes her to invite Mr. Lee up to her place after an evening together that was not a date, but she's surprised at what culminates from the invitation.

A/N: It's a canon divergence of a canon divergence -- splits off from ch. 12 of your law of gravity to a universe where Ju-ran had just a smidgen less self-control. And while there are definitely words and feelings going on, they both know she's still legally married. (but that first post-divorce dinner is gonna be lit)

A/N: I didn't mean to write this, but I accidentally daydreamed one(1) scene and thought 'yeah that's fun but also she would not do that without an immediate anxiety attack' so i had to put several hundred words around my one(1) idea. it still reads like PG to me, which is my zone of comfort (you never know when your mother will decide to check your AO3 page). Just to set expectations.

i've been laboring with my fic idea for SO long and it's just not coming together. tell me why someone requested a little sequel to my published story and it fell out of me

(sort of. rough draft did. now I have to put it in real writing and it's slow going. The first 60 words have turned into over 500 lol)

(but I will finish it! which I can't promise for literally anything else)

As a fun side note, I have decided I headcanon Mr Lee as, like, the hardest core demisexual who was always like 'why would i need anything romantic, work is engaging enough for me' but then fell for yang ju-ran and now is like 'ok i guess i understand the appeal now' and is embarrassed at how undignified feelings are.

the story i been TRYING to write has the thesis of "and when I say he fell for yang ju-ran, I mean that in 2004 he caught feelings for one(1) girl and didn't know how to handle it, and has never thought of anyone else (or her tbh) until she's back in his life"

which is still so great and i hope i can make progress someday lol

Summary:

Mr. Lee just wants to be around Yang Ju-ran. There's nothing he loves more than to be needed, and she really needs him. But the crisis will soon be over; will she still need him after this? Or will he have to admit to himself that maybe, possibly, he needs her?

A/N: I just felt like this couple got the short-shrift in the kdrama. Like, do they even end up together? So I provided some conversations that they may have had with various people in their lives (and each other).

This was the first fic I actually sat and wrote in a long time, and I'm out of practice. I also didn't rewatch the scenes of this couple together until halfway through, so I wouldn't even consider this exactly canon-compliant (which kills me. I'm one of those writers that wants to write what canon would be, but I guess I can experiment with divergence and AU now). Oh well.

My understanding of Korean language and culture is haphazard at best (despite my research). I also cherry-picked whether I called back to sub or dub phrasing, and there's no rhyme or reason to that either.
