My friends’ circle is incredibly small now, but at least I’m sure they like me for who I am, not because of who I know

keeping my guard up
Im no longer going to share certain things with certain people. I takes experience to realize that not everyone has your best interest or even you at heart- and are naturally selfish people. i say selfish in the sense that they are self-invested and do things never considering you. this also goes for the people who are insecure or, those who think someone else's life is all glittery and peaches. Such individuals act in the same selfish behavior- slowing ingesting aspects of your life or character- the digesting the bigger components of what makes you or what others like about you. Then they try to emulate you. Replace you. Use you.
