The deadline to register and grandfather in the less stringent LEED EBOM v. 2009 is on October, 31st 2016. If you are considering undergoing LEED certification via the traditional certification route, we recommend registering your project now under LEED EBOM v. 2009.
There is also a new option for LEED certification and recertification called LEED Dynamic Plaque (LDP). This more streamlined method of certification focuses on five categories: energy, water, waste, transportation, and human experience. The LDP path reduces the amount of documentation needed and in many cases, reduces the cost of certification.
