Can you give a tutorial on how you make stamps/blinkees plz? :3
sure thing!!
blinkies tutorial!
for this tutorial i will be using GIMP, a free photo editing software for pc. i will put the link below!
The official download page for all things GIMP! Please only use the official binaries provided here unless you really, really know what you’
how i make blinkies!
firstly, make a new canvas that is 150x20. a lot of creators like to scale up for a clearer image, but i simply don't care enough to.
make a new layer
make sure it is transparent and the full size of the canvas. this layer will be used to create the moving dashes.
2. use the rectangle select tool to position the dashes
you want to make the selection 2 pixels in on every side like so:
if you would rather use another method, you can make the selection the entire canvas then navigate at the top to select > shrink and set the amount to 2 pixels.
3. add the dashes
make sure you have your fg (top color) and bg colors set to the color of the dashes you want. navigate at the top to edit > stroke selection and apply the following settings:
congrats! you did the first color! navigate to the same option again and this time apply these settings:
now you have the dashes! your canvas should look something like this:
4. add text
using the text tool, create a box that fills everything inside the dashes like so:
click inside the box and type the text you want. change the font and size accordingly. set the text to center and use the move tool to center vertically if needed.
5. export your image
navigate at the top to file > export as... name the file (name)1.png as there will be two images.
6. flip the dashes
select your dashes layer then select the flip tool by right clicking on the unified transform tool
click on the canvas and your dashes should be flipped.
7. export your image
navigate at the top to file > export as... name the file (name)2.png.
8. make it into a gif
go to ezgif's gif maker and upload the two images. (link below)
Online GIF maker where you can create animated GIFs, banners, slideshows from sequence of images. Upload frames and make a GIF or merge and
9. (optional) speed the gif up
once you hit "make gif", scroll down to the section above. i like to speed it up by at least 150%, but do whatever you like.
10. save it!
congrats! you have successfully made your own leefymoon style blinkie!
