She got out of the library, done with her studying. It was sunny outside, she couldn’t wait to spend her day outside relaxing, or maybe doing a lot of thing to keep herself occupied. Walking on her way home, looking around, she met a stranger. Hayi looked up at the man talking to her, blinking. She was a bit lost in her thoughts as she was looking around the pretty red trees “Oh, hello, mister.” she greeted him politely, bowing a little. She extended her tiny little hand and shook his slightly. “I’m doing good. It’s so nice today, right? How can I not be good?” she gave him a small smile.

A few days ago, he had “overheard” talks about a new substance to poison creatures, in hopes to eradicate their powers and existence in the near future. They called it Substance A - a first of many failed attempts. Generation after generations, he had watched scientists come up with promising synthetic compounds, but so far none had worked. His species were too complex in nature and powerful to compete. 

Today - he was to be a disguise. He opened up a huge map he had found on the floor while mindlessly walking around the street - Seoul National University. Ah, the pests have settled here. Now, in the 21st century, only a handful knew of his species existence. Vampires have long been extinct after the massacre in 1938; the ones that have survived were spread out, living under the covers seeking revenge quietly. 

He closed the map and tucked it under his armpit as his gaze fell to the young female. Roughly late teens, maybe even early 20′s - he thought as she shook his hand. The warmth of her hand shot millions of neurons to his brain - in a moment of weakness, he would have given into his natural cravings; however, today, he had to behave. He had an important task and she was the perfect candidate. Whether she knew of this location or not, she was young - she could help a “lost tourist”. “It is nice out, but if only I could agree. I’m actually having an off day. I was supposed to make it to a tour this morning, but due to my jet lag I had snoozed my alarm clock to the point where it stopped working. Now, I’m stuck trying to find my way around and -- “ He paused and chuckled. “Mind helping a poor lost foreigner?”
