I think abf is really easy to sympathise with because he is just a little boy. Based on the recording I saw, you can really see him panicking at every step, he seems genuinely shaken by Alana's gfy confrontation - and not just because his lie is falling apart. He's just little! Give him a break!

Also Roman - he smiles so much! Because he is visibly happy a lot of the time, the times when he's upset hit harder (esp. scenes w/ Heidi imo).

I think Taylor Trensch is harder to sympathise with because he seems more annoyed and impatient than scared and desperate. Like he thought the circumstances that brought him there were unfair, while the Evans I mentioned earlier seemed to blame themselves. I still loved his performance though.

yes yes so true !! abf and roman are just lil Guys simply ;_; and YEAH RE: TAYLOR i feel like i talk abt him negatively sm but i also enjoyed seeing him!! he just wasn't easy to sympathize with! the performance i saw with him was also so long ago that id probably have to find a boot to look back on but how you described it def sounds familiar... he was also just kind of awkward in a more Real way; as opposed to fidgety n quiet he was a bit louder a bit more jumpy the way he said things made me cringe sometimes even if i Knew what he was gonna say dkjnfsfn and then it did seem like he thought his situation was Unfair like he was getting caught for what he'd done and had to come forward as opposed to just not being able to Live with lying anymore ... if any of that makes sense fkdjng
