Leever
“A Leever is an interesting beast found throughout Hyrule. They bury themselves in the sand waiting for prey to come by before bursting out from the ground and ramming them with top speed to feed on them. Their striking colors are thanks to a variety of toxins found within the flesh to protect them from larger animals in their environment that would try to eat them.
The local Gerudo people use the skin of these creatures to sheath their swords and spear tips, allowing for highly toxic metal weaponry.”

Leever - Zelda 1 (Enemy Every Day)
The Leevers in this game are interesting. Unlike other games, I'm really not sure what they're supposed to be. I kinda wanted to do what 3 Game Guide did - sort of a more sandworm looking thing - but I decided not to, and that made it waaaay less complicated. I promise these will get more complicated, but just Z1 is going to take me into February...
