The megane sputtered, reeling to face Takao and his ridiculous accusation. 

"I absolutely did not! What kind of a person do you think I am?” Midorima adjusted his glasses and cleared his throat.

        "Besides, I don’t see how I’ve done anything to make you think something like that in the first place….” 

"A person with a lot of money to spare, that's what." Takao raised a brow, eyes glancing pointedly at the taller's neck before back up at his face.

"You're obviously hiding up those marks on your neck, soooo... You wouldn't be so embarrassed if it was just normal bug bites! Just grouchy. So come on, spill! Who'd you pay off?"

It wasn’t totally uncommon for Kise to be wrapped around a stranger after a night out — it wasn’t like he’d had a huge amount of partners, and he was always in a state of mind to use all forms of safety, including judgement of the dangerous ones.

Eyes still closed, he indulged in a little nuzzling as he figured out what kind of person he was with. Definitely male. A little taller than him, which was surprising for Japan. Nice muscles, very likely an athlete. He’d had one arm wrapped over the stranger’s chest, and moved it down to sneakily check for a wedding ring without being open about it in case they were awake. But instead of a ring, he found a strange texture — bandages?

Confused, he opened his eyes a little, and then fully when he saw a flash of green.

For a moment he was too shocked to move, then slowly slid away from the shooter, sitting up to stare.

"…is.. someone pulling a prank on me..?"

The Fated Shogi Match [A Closed RP with lefthandedluck]

Akashi made a smirk of satisfaction as he placed one of his shogi pieces on the shogi board, creating checkmate and once again defeating his opponent, which just happened to be himself. He knew from experience that no one, not even himself was able to defeat him in a game that he not only enjoys but also excels in.

That satisfaction didn't last long however as Akashi moved all of the shogi pieces back to their original placements, about to begin a new game when he felt the tiniest shred of disappointment. He admits that being able to compete with another player would be just the slightest more entertaining than playing by himself but only if they're playing skills were at the very least better than average. A thought suddenly appears that perhaps he would be able to play with a worthy opponent other than himself for a change, a change that Akashi admittedly would have his full support for, but in the meantime, he continued to delicately arrange his shogi pieces in preparation for his next shogi match.
